Chapter Nine
"Tell me what I missed," Angel chirped.
"Sav said she got some news from Cass and Lyndon's death," I said. "But I'm not sure, maybe she's just high on a sugar rush, I mean, look how she's acting right now."
"Oh, Caca," Angel said putting her palms on her forehead.
"You're always mean, Acacia," Savannah said while twirling her hair with her fingers.
"I wouldn't be Acacia if I wasn't, dumbass," I grinned.
"Fuck you," Savannah grinned, too.
"Is that word now used as a greeting?" Angel asked cluelessly. "Because fuck you all."
"Eww, we are so not lady-like!" I said as I acted like my aunts on my mom's side. They're so annoying like some kind of billionaires who doesn't even care about the world but themselves.
"Oh em to the gee, we should stop, our words are too vulgar!" Savannah said, laughing with me.
"Wait, you mean that 'word' isn't a greeting?" Angel asked and her eyes were wide open.
Angel reminds me a lot of Karen Smith from Mean Girls. They're both dumb but cute. Just, well, dumb. And annoying.
I smiled at the thought of that.
"I miss Cassandra," I sighed.
"Us, too," Savannah and Angel said in unison.

"Hey Chloe!" A voice running after me called.
That made me giggle. Chloe? What the hell, I'm not even Chloe, is that person high?
"Acacia!" Wait. Now I know who that is.
Colton. The bipolar one.
No. I shouldn't look back. I have no time for this jerk.
"Hey! Don't act like I don't exist!"
Keep walking.
"Scarlet!"
I finally gave in. "What the heck? Don't call me by my second name ever again!"
"Okay, Chloe," he gave me a smug look.
I groaned. "Leave me alone!"
"You're not gonna ask me who Chloe is?"
"Who?" I quickly asked.
"You!"
"Colton if you're high then please talk to anyone but me-"
"I'm not," then his face went from funny to serious.
"Why are you calling me Chloe?"
He scratched the back of his neck "I-i, uh, don't really know."
"Really?" I smirked.
"Yeah, Chloe."
"Then Zachy, why don't you get the hell away from me?"
"Zachy? Is that your best shot?"
"Alright, I'll call you Tony, then."
"Nah," he smirked. "I'll just go for Zachy."
I groaned, "You are so annoying."
"Ugh," he said and put his hands near his temples.
"What?"
"I can't think of a unique nickname for you," he sighed like a little kid lost in his thoughts.
"Let me think," he said again. "Caca?"
I sighed, "too common."
"Keisha?"
"Too ugly."
"Baby doll," he said, smirking.
"Alright, that's it I've had enough. Go away creep!" Damn this guy sure is stressing me out.
"You need to take a chill pill, Scarlet," Colton said, as casual as it may sound.
"It may not be a big deal to you but my best friend died. And it is unexpec-"
He cut me off, "Cassandra is my cousin and one of my friends died too, you're not the only one, you know."
Then he walked away.
He's right. He's always right. I should stop thinking about myself only. I should think about what others are feeling, too. Since when did I get so insensitive? Or am I really selfish even from the start? Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'm a brat who's always spoon-fed about everything, aren't I?
I don't know why I did this but I ran to catch up with Colton whose feelings I've hurt.
"Wait up, hey!" I said, huffing.
But he still kept on walking.
"Don't ignore me," I grabbed his arm.
"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I know you're hurting too," I pleaded.
"You know, princess, I have mixed emotions about you being so clingy," he said and again with that playful smirk he always wears.
"I-i-i.. Colton! Ugh!" I flushed in embarrassment, as my blood started to rise that made me red as a tomato.
Oh, this guy. I cannot. And I can never even.

This day passed by in a blur and I couldn't be more thankful since I don't have to deal with drama. It's two more days until Cassandra and Lyndon's last day of mourning and I haven't even visited. I just can't accept it. The fact that they're gone. It's a big impact to a change in all of our lives.
I'm lying down on the bed of my room, and this is what I'm doing for the past few days. I feel lifeless.
My phone beeped as it was placed on the side table on the side of my bed.
Angel
I'm coming over xx
What is this girl up to now?
And another beep.
Colton
Tomorrow come with me at the beach. It's for our project.
Oh great. I remember I still have to deal with this silly project. I have a miserable life.
Okay. I replied back
Colton
So it's a date, huh?
I giggled. As if.
Holy shit did I really giggle?
In your dreams, babyboy.
Colton
Babyboy, huh? I like that. ;)
Why the heck did I type babyboy anyway. Kill me.
Shut up, Zachary.
Colton
Even better, Scarlet.
Why the nicknames, though?
There came a knock on my door and I knew it was Angel. Well that was fast.
"Caca, Lyndon and Cass died in an accident. There was no murder involved," that's what she said the first thing she came in to my room.
"Seriously, Angel, you came all the way here to tell me that?"
"Well, yeah I don't want you to be sad anymore," smiling, she walked over to give me a hug.
I still have you and Sav, don't I? I smiled at the thought.
