The first killing took place on December 20, 1978 in Oslo, Norway. The victims of this murder were Diana and Heinrich Køhler. Diana and Heinrich left behind to children, a girl named Elsker and a boy named Randall. We were taken to a foster home just outside the city, where we would stay until adopted or claimed by another family member.
When I was seven my sister was kicked out of the foster home. She would wait outside everyday for me until I was also told to leave. Six years later I joined her out in the wilderness. It was a cold and dreary experience like that; alone in the cold, dark forest. Scavenging for food was a daily struggle, and even after hours of searching, we went hungry.
Elsker had already adjusted to the extra hunger and little sleep, but was struggle to go from having the even hardest of mattresses to the firmest of ground. She told me of her own adventures in the woods as she would wait outside the foster home. Being a young boy without a family was hard, but my sister being burdened with task of caring for a younger sibling while alone in the wilderness was harder.
I admire Elsker. She always tries to find food and shelter for me, even if there is the smallest amount something she will still give or share it with me. Elsker is strong and caring, I wish I could help her.
