Miranda's P.O.V

I ask her name but she doesn't respond. It doesn't surprise me, she is quiet; too quiet; a deadly quiet. I make up my mind to keep trying and I try to guess her name.

" Marlene?" I call out, but there was no response.

" Marci?" I call out. She looks up and smiles. It was a weak smile but it meant a lot to me. My name is Miranda and I met Marci When I was 12. She was always very pretty with two braids in her hair. She would wear a plain skirt and a modest button up shirt and wouldn't ever speak.

people say that sometimes the dead will find you, for reasons unknown. The moment I met Marci a question came to mind, is she good? The questions seemed to answer itself, she needed a friend, and she would do no harm.

Now I must mention that I only saw her When I passed that house, for she would be seen sitting on the bench outside. I went there about once a week so I could see her.

" I want to be your friend Marci. You are allowed at my boat at anytime and feel free to join my sleepovers." I said. My voice was only a whisper, I guess I was afraid that she might want to hurt me.

I spent day after day hoping she would visit me at the city marina where I lived. One day I struck gold When I was leaving the womens restroom. I saw her standing there and she was glaring at me like the devil himself. I ran out as fast as I could go. Thoughts boomed in my head, Would she come after me? Would she kill me? Only time would tell for my life was in the hands of fate.

Marci's P.O.V

I couldn't Believe what I did. I made miranda run away in fear! I was so afraid to confront her and I was ony glaring at her because I was afraid I would scare her, and look what happened! I sighed and walked away in misery.

I cried in the bathroom for a while and just  surounded myself with my own stupidity. I decided that I had to try again soon. I waited day after day, showing myself one night while Miranda was going to bed. She seemed afraid but fine with my presence she wanted to know how I died but I wasn't quite ready to tell.
