David couldn't adopt max right away they still had to do a home check on David's home and David's home was pretty safe to him so he doesn't see why they won't let him adopt max, for now, max was out in Mrs. Browns foster home David was now in his car on the way to the courthouse to drop off the papers they accepted him but he still had to do the interview in a week with Mrs brown

(One week later)
David is in his room trying on ties
"I don't know Gwen I like this one but the black one looks more professional but this one is more playful and it says I am good with kids," said David holding up ties in his bedroom mirror
"David just pick one," said Gwen looking at her watch "it's almost time to go anyway," said Gwen hurrying David up
"Ok ok I'll go for the blue one," said David putting on the tie and his shoes they ran out the door and got in the car to start driving there
Today max was going to get adopted by David he never thought he would ever say anything like that in his time that he knows David
"Hey fish what books do they have"said max to someone who was in the bedroom with him fish threw him a book it was a Dictionary max dropped it to the ground max didn't leave the room that much and he didn't unpack he was waiting for David to come for him max got up from the bed and left the room and went to watch tv even though the price is right was on they didn't dare change it that's when the doorbell rang and max heard a.  Familiar voice it was David
"Yes yes come in we can set up in the kitchen if you don't mind"said Mrs brown walking with David to the kitchen max ran to the window to see David's car he saw Gwen in the car also looking out the window Gwen saw max and waved to him so did max David was starting to sweat
"I haven't even asked any questions yet sir," said Mrs brown noticing how sweaty he was getting
"Ok umm question one what do you do for a living"
"Oh I work as a camp counselor during the summer and during the rest of the year I work at a flower shop," said David felling more confident

"Ok so you have nothing on your permit record and you don't have a rap sheet that's good now my last question why do you what a kid"
"Because I believe that every kid deserves a chance to be a good member of this Society"
"Ok that's it you can take him home today if you like," said Mrs brown packing up paperwork and handing it to David "you just have to sign here and max is yours," said Mrs. Brown handing David the paperwork
Max was already waiting at the door for David
"Ready," said David opening the door for max
"Yeah," said max with his bags max looked up
At David, with a smile on his face, this is probably the most Sincere smile of Max's that he's ever seen
