Chapter One

Loserfruit

Kathleen was outside a club waiting for Elliott to pick her up and go to Sydney a few days in advance for RTX 2018. A few minutes passed and Elliott still hadn't arrived. Kath felt a chill in the air and tightened her jacket. Something didn't feel right, she checked the area around her and it seemed she was okay. After another few minutes passed Kath watched a man walked drunkenly out of the club behind her. Her breathing quickened as the man stepped closer and closer to her.

"Hey there." The man slurred. "What's a pretty lady like you doing on her own?" He asked drunkenly. "Want some company?"
"I'm not interested." She quickly answered.
He grabbed her wrist and began trailing her backwards.

Loserfruit POV
I felt the strange man's grasp on my wrist tighten as I tried to pull away. I clenched my eyes shut and thought,
This is it, you're going to get raped.
I felt a single tear roll down my cheek.

"She said she wasn't interested." Said a voice solidly.

I opened my eyes to see Elliott standing over to me, staring at the man and pulling me from the man's grasp and holding me. I could feel him tensing.

Kathleen buried her head into Elliott and he wrapped his arms around her, giving the man a glare.
"Stay away from her." He said with clenched teeth. The man ran away tripping over his own feet and stumbling.
Elliott and Kathleen stood there for a few moments before Elliott spoke.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded her head. "Thank you." She said, more tears rolling down her cheeks.
"What are friends for?" He replied.

They got another uber and headed to Elliott's house.
Elliott glanced over at Kath and noticed she looked very pale.
"Hey, you okay?" He asked again.
"Yeah, just a little shaken up."

Satisfied with her answer, Elliott decided to leave the subject for the night.
After arriving at Elliott's, Kath placed her stuff in the guest bedroom and began changing.
She informed Elliott, who was editing, that she was tired and heading to bed.
"Sleep well!" He called as she entered the bed.
Kath almost instantly fell asleep.

Muselk POV

"Sleep well!" I called to her as she entered the guest room.I went back to editing my video and thumbnail for tomorrow. Checking the time, I decided to head to bed. First, I went to check on Kath. As I entered the room I noticed her shifting around and mumbling,

"Stay away from me! Please!" She cried out

Um.
She's having a nightmare. What do I do?
I walked over till I was next to her. I began shaking her and saying her name.
"Kath." I said
"Kathleen" I half yelled.
"Kath!" I shouted.

She jumped awake and looked at me then began crying.
I sat down on the bed next to her and embraced her, inhaling her strawberry scent.
"You're okay. He can't hurt you." I told her.

"Will you stay with me tonight? I don't think I can sleep on my own." She requested.
"Of course." I said, then went and grabbed some pyjamas for myself.

I returned to see her curled up and on her side, mostly hidden under the blanket. I climbed in next to her as she turned around to face me with tears in her eyes. I smiled at her and she returned a weak smile.
She snuggled in close to me and I wrapped my arms around her waist.

Loserfruit POV

After Elliott waking me up from my nightmare I asked if he would stay with me for the night
I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep on my own either from the fear of having the same nightmare or even just the memories of today. I knew Elliott would try and comfort me but even knowing he's next to me while sleep is comforting.
He left to grab some pyjamas and soon returned then climbed in next to me.
We held each other close as I began to fall into a deep and much needed sleep.

Muselk POV
I felt Kath relax into me and fall asleep. A short while after I felt myself begin to drift off as well.

PHEW! 704 words! I am proud.
