You never know what's going to happen
In life,
But you can always guess.
Some guesses can seem positive,
And others can seem quite the opposite.
There are even guesses that don't exist.
Positive outlook,
Negative outlook,
No outlook
Which one is better?
To me it feel as if
Reality is the best outlook.
Some people would call that negativity,
But I call it realistic.
I think it's better to suspect the bad,
Than have it sneak up on you,
Than to leave you unprepared for it,
Than to have you too weak to deal.
Perhaps I'm wrong to feel that way,
Perhaps not.
I don't know.
What I do know is that
Being positive has always left me
To get hurt or disappointed.
Seeing the best,
Has a possibility of destroying or
Crushing you with the worst.
Leaving you to being an empty shell.
I can't help but feel that way
Because that's all I experienced.
Call me weak,
For not opening up myself for positivity
Whatever.
I mean for all I know,
I COULD be the weak one.
I don't know.
Does positivity make you strong?
Or does getting the opposite instead,
Tear you down?
Does negativity make you strong?
Or does always being negative
Make you weak?
Does not having a negative
Or positive outlook make you strong?
Or does it make you empty?
I don't know.
It all depends on the person,
It all depends on the outlook,
It all depends on the strength.
What you can and cannot handle,
How you act or react.
Is there one right kind of outlook,
Or is it a combination?
Who knows for sure?
I don't know for sure,
And I highly doubt you do either.
I highly doubt anyone does.
Whatever floats your boat.
It's your life.
Do what you can or think you can in it.
