The Power Within You

This is my world. It is very different there are two different kind of people in this world humans and Shape shifters and I Flora Cress is a shape shifter.

Now, shape shifters have different powers but all of them have the power to shift or change into small people. We use to live in the modern world until humans hurt our people. Since that day our Queen forbid any more shape shifters in the modern world. Now humans think that shape shifters were extinct.

Why are me and my parent still living on earth that is another adventure...

chapter one

Flora come on your going to be late for school. My mom said from downstairs

Coming mom! I yelled back

Even though am not suppose to use my powers I still do.

FLORA GET YOUR BUTT IN THIS CAR NOW! Yelled my mom!

I stopped going what I was going and grabbed my book bag rushed down the stairs into the car. We arrived at school and I got out of the car, grabbed my stuff out of my locker and went to first period. found my seat at the back of the class and watched as kids filled the seats. Ten minutes into the English and the door opened and revealed the principal and and a new kid , he had dirty blonde hair that was swepted to his left he wore black ripped skinny jeans and a black t-shirt with a black leather jacket. He was actually kind of cute, and the girls seem to think so just by the looks on their faces.

Mr. Willsin this is your new student Brody Trace. Said the principal

Brody you can have a seat next to Flora. Said Mr. Willsin pointing at me.

Everybody turned and looked at me especially the girls throwing me a mean look. Brody walked to the seat next to me, sat in it and signed. I was looking at him then turn to face the front of the class when he noticed I was looking at him.

I was so glad when lunch came I was starving I got my lunch then went to my usual table and saw my friends all ready sitting there.

Hey! I said.

OMG! Cece squealed when I sat down, did you see the new kid he is C to the U to the T,E. CUTE!

Ryan and I both but blocked are ears as she squealed while talking about Brody.

Am gonna go get a drink. I said while I robbed my ears as I got up and went to the the vending machine. I got a lemonade and as I was turning around when I hit my head on someone's chest and when I looked up I was staring into Brody's chocolate brown eye's.

ehh....sorry. I said And was about to walk away when he put his arm in front of me blocking my way.

I turned and looked at him staring down at me. Flora right. he said

uh...yeah. Brody right, I said trying to sound unsure.

uh...yeah. He said mocking me, I smiled little. Well...see ya later! I said as I tried to walk away this time without him trying to stop me. Yeah, see ya! he said, My back to him.

I walked back to my seat when Cece started squealing about me talking to Brody. What did he say to you? Cece your taking this way to far. Said Ryan, so what did he say! Ryan added on? Ryan had red hair and dark green eyes while Cece had blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Nothing really. I said

Sure, they both said sarcastically.

No am serious all he said was Flora right. And you said, pressured Cece. The same thing but without my name. I said. Then what happened? Asked Ryan. I said see ya later. That's it, you said nothing else, you just walked right out of that conversation. right

burrrp!

Right! I said after I burped. Ew! said Cece!

Nice! said Ryan well I thought it was Ryan then I saw Cece's face staring at someone behind me. What!? I said. Then I saw Ryan tilled his head to someone behind me. So I gave up and turned around to see Brody standing there.

Hey Flora! he said

When I said see ya later I didn't mean like ten minutes later. I said

Flora don't be rude! said Cece

Hi am Cece, Hey Brody. Oh she knows! I said and me and Ryan started laughing ignoring Cece's glare

Okay, can I seat here Brody said pointing at the seat between me and Cece. But before I could answer Cece said yes. Okay, I guess your seating here, am Ryan. Sooo, what are you doing here? I asked. I go to school here. Brody replied. No really. I said sarcastically. And am really glad you go here. said Cece. Me and Ryan looked at each other and started laughing. Cece's face was bright red, well am happy am here too Brody said after me and Ryan finally stopped laughing.

Ring!

The bell rang saving me from this weird situation, well see ya I said as I picked up my book bag and sat up and left the lunch room and entered my next class. I sat down at my usual spot in the back, as I got by books out I noticed someone sat in the seat next to me and I turned to look at Brody.

Oh hey! he said acting like he never saw me.

Um..hi. I said unsure

Funny seeing you here. he said

Is it? I responded.

Am sorry did I do something wrong? He said unsure.

He sounded so sincere I felt like I hurt his feelings, no, no you didn't.

Good! I was hoping we could be friends. he said

We could? Yeah abso-

He was cut of as the bell rang. I just sat there staring at him i was really shocked of what he said. I was really happy when that class was done. The day went smooth because Brody was not in any of my other class I was so happy until it got crushed in my last period-gym. I like gym a lot because it was my only class with Cece and Ryan and I was good at it. As I opened the door I saw Brody with a bunch of girls surrounding him, I rolled my eyes as I went to the girls locker room to change into my gym clothes as I walked out I was fell to my feet by Cece.

What is wrong with you?I asked getting up.

Did you hear who Ryan was dating? she asked

What! Who is he dating? Oh you know Lilly Prin! Oh yea I saw that coming, come on. I said

Cece was not a gym kind of person but I was so I made her do it. Hey Flora! We turned to see Brody smiling at us. Oh hey Brody! Cece said. Hey Cece, Flora

That conversation didn't last long after the gym teacher, Mr. Grant, blow his whistle. Today were playing volleyball boys vs girls. Mr. Grant yelled.

Awesome! I said. Your going down! I said to Brody's shocked expression. At the end of the game the girls won all thanks to me!

Chapter two

After school ended school I walked home thankfully Brody didn't come up to me again. When I was finally home I was so glad to practice my powers.

Flora! Get ready we have guest coming over! My mom yelled from the kitchen

Ugh! Fine but am going skateboarding for awhile! Okay, "but be back by five!"
