"We can't be together Rebecca," Derek says pacing back in forth as the rain poured even harder.
"Why not Derek? Why do you choose now when I love you so much after everything we've been through your wanting to give up now?"
"Your brother will kill us if he finds out Rebecca you know that,"
Rain drops fell harder, soaking me from head to toe as I inched closer to him.
"Derek, if it didn't matter to you before why does it matter to you now? I know you don't want to do this Derek. You love me don't you?" I asked placing both of my hands on his cheeks as our foreheads rested against each others.
"Of course I do Rebecca but we just can't, its not right your a killer Rebecca you work for your brother,"
Anger boiled within me as I took a step back from him.
"You don't mean that,"
"I do just stay away from me Rebecca I don't need you," he says before walking away, leaving me crushed as thunder echoed into the night sky.
