Third POV

Clarith and the group followed Hagrid off the boats. Before the young girl spotted familiar brown hair and glasses walking beside a boy with flaming red hair.

"Harry!" Clarith yelled, running towards him and tackling him in a big hug.

"C- Clarith!" Harry stammered in surprise.

She giggled. "Miss me?"

Harry rolled his eyes, but let out a soft smile. The boy-who-lived turned around, and caught sight of the rest of the troupe, who watched the display with amused expressions on their faces.

"Did you have an okay ride, Harry?" Riliane questioned nervously.

"Yeah," Harry answered with a shrugged. Clarith then disconnected her arms and jumped off Harry's shoulders, before twirling herself around. She had on her Hogwarts uniform; consisting of a long sleeved, white, button-up shirt with a colour, and a black pleated skirt with reached down to her calves. She was appearing to wear black socks and a pair of dark brown coloured shoes.

"Do you like the uniform?" she questioned playfully, tugging her ponytail, which was tied up on the right side of her head.

Harry nodded dumbly. Ron stood beside him, watching the display with a bemused expression on his face.

"Who are these people?" he whispered into Harry's ear.

"They're friends of mine," Harry answered simply. "The girl with the funny ponytail is Clarith Nevermind, and the blonde haired girl with pigtails and glasses is Riliane Steilsson."

"Who are you?" Clarith pointed to Ron.

"I-I'm Ron Weasley. One of Harry's friends" Ron said. Clarith gave him a big smile and put her hand out for him to shake.

"Nice to meet char" Clarith greeted with an Australian accent. Ron shook her hand. The rest of the group came and joined them. "This is Klive Hardwood, Riliane Steilsson, Julianne clockwork, Trion Spencer, Luke Ginger, Jimmy Yaccino, Hanz Schneller, Rosemarina Vermillion - but you can call her Rose - and Paris Hollister," Clarith introduced them pointing to each person as she said there name. After introducing each other, they began to follow the rest of the students talking about what house they wanted to be in.

"Everyone here? You there, still got yer toad?"

Hagrid raised a gigantic fist and knocked three times on the castle door.

The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there. She had a very stern face and Harry's first thought was that this was not someone to cross. 'I remember her from somewhere' Clarith thought.

"The firs' years, Professor McGonagall," said Hagrid.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here."

She pulled the door wide. The entrance hall was so big you could have fit the whole of the Dursleys' house in it. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches like the ones at Gringotts, the ceiling was too high to make out, and a magnificent marble staircase facing them led to the upper floors.

They followed Professor McGonagall across the flagged stone floor. Everyone could hear the drone of hundreds of voices from a doorway to the right—the rest of the school must already be here—but Professor McGonagall showed the first years into a small, empty chamber off the hall. They crowded in, standing rather closer together than they would usually have done, peering about nervously.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your Houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your House will be something like your family within Hogwarts. You will have classes with the rest of your House, sleep in your House dormitory, and spend free time in your House common room.
