Chapter 1:
Star Struck
A beautiful Planet where the stars are blue and the sky is as clear as the purest waters life can offer. The night is always shinned passionately strong, due to the light of its three moons always being bright, this making the stars seem to be dancing with delight, always to be shown in the skies along with the other glorious celestial bodies that remain visible through the bucolic nights of the island such as the mesmerising galaxies that are as visible as flesh itself, and beautiful nebulas that display a vast array of colours. Despite the cold appearance of the night skies of the island, the island shares a tropical feeling. The land is filled with a couple of hundred cream skinned people with mostly dazzling clear blue hair and of a normal height. Where the stars and night always shine with the greatest of light, this is the Pamian Island.
3:00 am
It was early in the night sky morning when the night was felt with ease that the seventeen year old young man Stratos, blue haired, always with a hair pin shaped like a star on his hair, was star gazing and saw a glittering light coming from afar in another small island. Every day after that glittering day, he would go to the same spot just to see the glittering mystery, dreaming to go over there one day and explore the amazing mystery that had tempted the young man.
Three months had passed until he got tired of just staring at the mysterious shine. He woke up on a Saturday morning and felt a sudden calling in the wind . . . He thought it was something indescribable and taught it was a ridiculous idea but none the less a righteous idea to explore the vast and open world that lies beyond his. And so a day passed, Stratos woke up with anxiety, thus he put on his blue and black shorts, and a sleeveless shirt with a star drawn in the middle of the shirt. He got out of his house and walked along the sunny sea sides of the shore, walking towards a beautiful yet simple blue and white house to wake up his red haired friend Rydia. She was a young seventeen year old with a dazzling cream colour skin. Skinny yet not too skinny, with eyes as red as blood itself and a heart as warm as the sand itself, and she also had a mysterious tattoo which design was that of two scorching red wings. She was 5’7 feet tall but in heart and mind she was a giant.
“Rydia, wake up! I’m going to swim to the island next to the Pamians’ to do a little sightseeing”
Rydia let out a big yawn and followed, “Stratos . . . As beautiful and mysterious this world of ours is; we know that we belong in this island for the time being. We can’t just condemn ourselves just like all those others did to the unknown so easily. “
“Rydia, I know we can’t condemn ourselves to life’s unknown, but I feel like I have to go over there, I know it . . . I feel like its calling me and to be honest, lately I’ve been feeling like the wind is somehow brushing through my skin on purpose, and I always see this shine coming from the island every time that I star gaze early in the morning’s night sky. Rydia . . . I can’t kill the beast if I haven’t fought it. At least tell me that you’ll consider going with me to the island after I go and come back.”
Rydia smiled as only she could towards him and said, “I can’t kill the beast until I’ve fought it Hu? Well I suppose maybe you’re right Stratos. I’ll give you my permission this time, but just be sure to come back in one piece!” She then smiled joyfully yet unpleasantly.” Wouldn’t want to tell mother your body came back floating in pieces Stratos.”
“Life is short lived yet beautifully Rydia. Have to make the best of it and live through the tides of fire. You thought me that. I promise that no matter what I’ll come back with a story to tell.”
“Fine, it’s settled! If you come back in one piece I’ll go sight see with you tomorrow. Now please take-care Stratos.”
And so Stratos head off to the shores of the Pamian, now swimming towards the island in what felt like an eternity. While he was swimming he wondered why he was doing this, if it was really worth the risk. But then he remembered his words -You can’t beat the beast until you’ve fought it- and so he continued to swim, towards what seemed to be through his eyes a brand new world.
