The sun was shinning on my face, I rolled to my left side but it was impossible to fall asleep again. I was still tired and my head was aching so bad like I just hit it against a pole, but the heat was too unbearable. I opened my eyes for a few seconds but I immediately closed them. The light was blinding but my back was killing me, I had to get up.
My mind wasn't at its best, I didn't even have the shot to process about what happened, I didn't even had the time to reflect about the fact I was laying on an outdoor ground.
I rubbed my eyes and finally I endured having them open for more than a few seconds, and for my surprise I was looking at the sky. A clear blue the shade of hemimorphite. I instantly got up and saw my best friend also laying on the asphalt next to my purse. I looked around and it was noticeable I was at a rooftop. All I could see were tall towers and smoke. I walked towards the edge and I realised I was actually at a skyscraper, 40 something floors above the street. What the hell, how did I got here? I checked my bag and I sighed in relieve, I still had my wallet and phone.
Oh crap it's already 1 o'clock and I have so many lost calls from my mom, she's going to kill me. I need to call her back, I may not know where I am but if I stay one more minute without sending her a sign I'm alive she's going to have all the cops after me.
(Phone rings)
Mum: Mia where are you? You were supposed to come home by the sunrise, I've been worrying sick.
Mia: I'm sorry mum I stayed sleeping at Sydney's and then we decided to go lunch together at the mall but as soon as I'm done I'll head home.
Mum: Ok then, I'm only not grounding you because it's your birthday.
Mia: Thanks mom, bye, love you.
Mum: Love you too, bye.
-Shit it's my birthday! Fantastic I just started my 18th birthday lying to my mum and waking up I don't know where, who knows if I'm still in my country.
