The crowd is cheering and screaming out my name. Waiting for me to come out and finally greet them. I took a deep breath in and step out in my black sky-high heels. The spotlight hits me as soon as I move onto the stage, all of a sudden, I hear surprised gasps, the gasps then turned into giggles and exclaims. I look around in confusion, wondering what was making the crowd so weird. I gaze down at myself, squeal in horror and quickly cover myself up with my hands.
Shit I'm naked!! How am I naked! I thought to myself.
"Yeah Amie!!"
"Take it off baby! Oh hang on, you're already have" the crowd roars in laughter.
"Amie"
"Amie!!"
"Bloody hell, Amie, wake up!" a voice said.
I opened up my eyes and took in my surroundings, white walls, fashion posters scattered across the wall, a computer in front of me with little green post it notes on the screen. I then see a redhead staring at me with a smirk.
"Finally, you're lucky I woke you up. Hilda is due here any moment” the redhead tells me.
I blinks my eyes and realises the redhead is actually one of my closest friends, Charlize. Hilda? Oh crap! Hilda is my horrible boss of Fashionista Magazine.
"Shit, thanks Charlize. I don't know how I fell asleep" I rubbed my eyes, trying to make myself more presentable and awake.
"Probably from all your online shopping last night” she joked.
I smiled sheepishly at her, not letting her know that her guess is in fact true.
"Amie! I want you in my office now" Hilda barked at me as she saunter past my tiny office.
"Sure Hilda" I sweetly tell her. As soon she turned her back on me, I quickly roll my eyes and put up a gun like motion to my head at Charlize. I could hear Charlize giggling as I walked away from her and into Hilda enormous office.
"What can I help you with?" I politely ask.
Her little head pops up from her Apple Mac laptop and nudge back her black frame glasses upward.
"Ah, Amie. The magazine has a photo-shoot with Miranda Kerr tomorrow at 9am sharp. I want you to be in charge of the styling. The theme we are looking for is chic and grunge. We need eight different looks. I expect all of the clothes you have in mind to be done by 10pm tonight, no later than that." she abruptly said.
I glanced at my Michael Kors watch and it’s already nearly 5.30pm in the afternoon. Which means she is only leaving me 4 and 1/2 hours to find eight looks, arranges the clothes from the mall, and makes it back to the office leaving the clothes here. What the hell.
"Erm, is there something wrong with Laura?" I nervously play with the fabric of my dress.
Laura is the senior fashion editor, she usually does the styling and all of the fashion edits in the magazine, while as a junior assistant I help her out with problems she has and giving the best advice as possible.
"No. I just simply fired her moments ago. She wasn't coming up with ideas that were original and I had to cut her off. Now you have her role. Is that a problem?" she snapped.
