I Love You (Dramione)

Draco Malfoy had had his eyes on Hermione granger since 3rd year when she had punched him, Hell who was he kidding, he had his eyes on her since she popped into his carriage during the Hogwarts express train ride in first year when she had asked imperiously if he had seen that snivelling little Longbottom's toad. He had been disappointed when he discovered that she was a mudblood and had assumed that she would be dull and stupid because of her dirty blood, but he had been surprised and upset when she had trounced him in all subjects apart from flying, his father had been so disappointed that he had been beaten by a girl and one of impure blood at that.

In 2nd year, the chamber of secrets was opened and the Basilisk was petrifying mudbloods left and right, he had declared to the whole school that he wished she die instead. He had also called her a mudblood and relished in her tears. When she had been petrified he could not help listening for her annoying know it all voice answering questions in class, at least he had the sense to not visit her during her stay in the infirmary.

In 3rd year, she had broken his nose because he was rightly rejoicing over the death sentence of that bloody chicken Buckbeak that nearly killed him, he had been slightly afraid of her after that, not that he would ever admit it even when held at wand point

In 4th year, at the yule ball, he had been shocked by how beautiful she was, without all those ridiculous shapeless muggle rags hiding her curves, she had also tamed that frizzy mop. He had stared at her all through the ball, ignoring Pansy who was trying to catch his attention with meaningless chatter.

His fall started that night.

In fifth year, he had wanked to her face and lost his virginity to a chit in Ravenclaw calling out her name as he climaxed. He had oblivated the little slut of that little detail and had avoided saying much whenever he was fucking and had chosen girls who look the least like her to avoid a repeat of that slip up. All the while he would not stop tormenting her, calling her derogatory names, mudblood, being jealous of scarhead and the weasel king and causing trouble for them because they dominated much of her time, in short making her life hell.

In sixth year, the Dark Lord was back and had given him a very important and impossible job to do, kill Dumbledore. He dreamt of her often, she would die if the Dark Lord wins or be treated a little better than a house elf, but he had no choice, his hands were tied, if he fails, the Dark Lord would kill his mother, but he would protect her the only way he can for now; bury his feelings for her under his occlumency shields and hopes Potter finish off the dark lord.

After days filled with terror on how to repair the vanishing cabinet, night filled with nightmares of the dark lord killing his mother and him, nearly gotten killed by scarhead, the stupid cabinet was fixed. He just had to kill Dumbledore for it to be over.

At the astronomy tower, his hand shook as he pointed his wand at the defenceless headmaster, he could not do it, but his and his mother's life hung in the balance.

"Join the light Draco" the old fool says "spy for us, help us take that monster down"

There is not much to do, he joins the order because in that moment he thought of her, how proud she would be of him and when all this was over he could beg and earn her forgiveness for everything.

But Dumbledore still died, his godfather killed him, and he himself fled like a pathetic coward, but it was all necessary, he had to contact the order later.

Months of being a double agent passed and the golden trio was captured by snatchers and brought to his home. He was asked to identify a deformed Potter but had played dumb. He could not let his crazy aunt know it was the infamous golden trio or she would definitely die.
