A Wonderful Goodbye
Near the window
by her friends Angel sat.
She wasn't alone she had
her friends. She smiled and
laughed with them but it
never reached her eyes.
She looked out the window
sun shinning bright,
trees tall and bright.
Ring! She got up ready to act.
She smiled said her goodbyes.
She can't go "home",home is what you call somewhere you feel safe,
but to her is a nightmare that never ends.
She may have friends
but she feels alone. Wakes
up everyday with new bruises.
Shh! Don't tell!
Walking to the beautiful green forest she found a amazing view.
Sun setting
colors spreading.
Not to cold not to hot.
Near the clear deep blue lake she sat.
What would it feel like to be free.
To laugh without faking,
to not suffer everyday,
and not be scare to go home.
One foot in. Another foot to go.
Water to waist raising to the neck. Angle took one last breath, one last look at the scene.
"What a wonderful goodbye was given to me" were Angel's last words. She finally got to know what it feels to be free.
