Why?
No matter how hard my hand hits the glass wall
No matter how much I try
It won't shatter or fall.

Watching an old friend scream for help
The shadow crawls closer to her
All I can do is cry and yelp
As a sea of words drown her.

How?
Why have I only realised now?
I try harder to break the glass before me,
Wanting to help my friend so badly.

I close my eyes,
"This has to be a dream"
My ears, absorbing the screams and cries.
"Why is this so extreme?"

I once again yell
Opening my eyes.
Is she crying, I can't tell.
Are these voices real or lies.

My hand bounces from the glass.
She turns to faces me.
Tears streaming as I start to see
Them turning into gas.

Her frown turns into a smile.
Beaming and gleaming.
But the glass breaks after a while
Then she starts disappearing.
