New Beginnings

You walk into your new apartment turn on the light and walk to the window. As you're looking out the window into the city you think to yourself "this is really scary". You grew up in a small town where everyone's so Naïve and ignorant to the fact that the sun doesn't revolve around them, the type of people who are like turtles you know? All confined and shelled up afraid to live life, Not you, As soon as you turned 18 moved out. Everyone told you it was a dumb idea your father even told you if you did it you would be cut off. " when life's a bitch and kicks you on your ass don't even think about coming back you wanna be grown? Congratulations your grown now" he said. Thinking back on that day. You realize your not gonna let that statement ever be true. He's not right you think to yourself. Looking out the window you focus on this tall brownskin man with light brown eyes and waves staring up at you in your window. You're thrown off by this when your roommate comes in the living room.
" yo did you ever pick up that list of groceries I texted you" she asked
"Oh shit it rained and I wasn't really trying to be running in and out stores" I answered shrugging.
" siiiis you know I needed that for dinner tonight, what are we gonna eat?" She asked
"Alex I gotchu" I said grinning at her.    "we can go out to eat or we can go to that new bar I just got my fake I'd were in there"
"Its a date" she said dapping me up. She walked to the kitchen "at least we have snacks or else I would not survive" she said. You realize you forgot about the guy out the window. You turn around fast trying to get a glimpse but he's gone. You shrug it off. "The hell are you looking for" she said chuckling. You snap back into reality "my bad I'm just looking at how beautiful it looks outside, I'm gonna go get dressed" you walk away to your room And start getting ready you pick your sleeveless grey bodysuit with clear heal boots and a jean jacket. You do your makeup a Smokey eyes with silver glitter. Not to soon after that you and Alex leave and head to the club. Right when you get to the club you go to the bar and get four shots of vodka and 2 cranberry margaritas for you and Alex you bring them over to your table. You both throw back those 2 shots in sync. You start swaying to the music in the club while sipping on the margarita when you see the window guy. "I'm gonna go dance" you say to Alex while staring at the sexy young man. As you walk over to him you examine him. He looks like he's in his early 20s if you had to guess you would guess 21. You walk up to him and start dancing with him then you turn around and start grinding on him. He seems a little tense so you turn back around "not big on dancing huh?". He laughs and says "yea I'm kinda new at this" you smile "are you from mars or something" he looks embarrassed "something like that" he looks down. You giggle "oh you got jokes" you side eye him jokingly. "We'll loosen up and put your hands right here" you turn and put his hands on your waist. "now hold on" you start dancing and he gets the hang of it. You guys are having fun and there's definitely sexual tension between you two. You get drinks and dance and dance. Soon you get tired and go to the table your feet are throbbing. "So are you from New York" he asks "actually no I'm only here doing to college thing and living life feel me" you sit back getting comfortable drinking water "all I know is i had to get away from home my family's toxic but that's a story for another time" you say shaking your head "tell me about it my family's so crazy and expects so much from me, I'm only one person I can only do so much" he explains to you "you hit the nail right on top of the head it's like I'm expected to fix everything do everything by myself, deal with everything by myself plus do what they want" my feelings spill out of me like a waterfall. "Right you get it we're right here with it" you wave your hands. alex walks over to the table and whispers in your ear and tells you how she going to spend the night at one of her hoes houses tonight. You get tight "cmon now I'm gonna have to walk home by myself" You whine then the window boy chimes in and says he could walk you home you quickly got over the situation and told Alex it was okay. When Alex left you did the same. enjoying walking down the streets of New York you definitely can get used to this. He puts his arm around you as you walk. "So what's your name" You asked curiously. We look at each other and bust out laughing. "My names Dustin" he says and holds out his hand " my names naveya" you put out my hand and shook his. You finally reach your apartment. You're sitting on your steps with him "it was nice meeting you Dustin" you say Turing your head towards him. "Deadass tho you real cool" he says then leans in and kisses you. He pulls away "sorry I couldn't control myself" he said with this smirk on his face. You then lean and start kissing him adding tongue you bite his lip then he starts kissing and nibbling on your neck. You stop "I should go upstairs now I have a class at 1 o'clock "he nods giving me one last peck. You walk into the house and go to your room and knock, but little do you know downstairs this is happening.
Dustin stands on the steps pacing. He's confused and concerned. A blue shimmering purple light appears and a man walks out of the light. " what happened our Monitors show that she still alive, what went wrong" the man asks "you were the perfect position to kill her why didn't you do it" he yelled "I couldn't there was something holding me back something doesn't seem right about this" Dustin says "you have one more chance if you mess up again you already know your punishment" and with that he disappeared into to glowing blue light.
