Well here I am it's one in the morning and this would be the sixth published chapter in one day. Sometimes I amaze myself at just how fast I get things written when no one can bother you. Anyway my favorite turtle's time has come. I hope you enjoy this rewritten chapter.

I could hear the slight thump my shoes made as I ran down the stairs, camera bag in hand.

"(Y/N)! Are you going out today?" My dad yelled from his seat on the sofa.

Slowing my pace I made a beeline and stood to the side of him. With a smile I nodded and showed him my camera bag. He sent me up a smile before asking his request.

"Do you mind picking up some takeout on your way home? Your mother called and said she wouldn't be home til late tonight."

"Yeah, Dad. I'll see you later."

Kissing him on the cheek I rushed out the door and down the steps onto the NY streets. Taking in a breath I set a brisk pace for the botanic gardens nearby. I couldn't miss a photo opportunity like this, the sky was clear and the sun wasn't beating down rays that could ruin my shots. Not to mention, the gardens were the perfect place to take pictures in spring; the flora and fauna were abundant and it made for easy yet still strikingly beautiful subjects.

When I arrived the first thing I did was begin setting up my camera and taking pictures of anything and everything that interested me. I made sure to bring two memory cards because the first one was already halfway filled, and I wasn't even a quarter of the way through the maze of flowers. A smile lit up my face as I squatted down to exchange my lens for a longer one. I decided to point my camera at a nearby billboard to focus the new lens when something caught my eye. Someone or something had disappeared behind the board only to reemerge on the rooftop next to it. Thinking fast, I grabbed my bag and took off in a full sprint to where it had hopped off to.

The sun was beginning to set when the figure had stopped on the rooftop above me. Backtracking to the alley between the two buildings, I quickly climbed my way to the roof. When I got there I could see the blurry figure on the rooftop next to the one I was currently standing on. I quickly pulled out my camera and zoomed in on the person only to gasp in shock. Before me wasn't people, but a group bipedal turtles. They walked around the roof seeming to scan the busy streets below us, not noticing my form on the roof next door. I zoomed in a bit more on one of the creatures in particular. He stood in a strong position, seemingly not moving. I watched as he turned his head to the side to reveal dark blue eyes mimicking the color of the bandanna wrapped around his head. I felt my cheeks go hot as I focused the camera a bit more and taking the shot, cringing as the sound went off. The four figures went silent as I hurriedly grabbed my bag and climbed down the fire escape as quickly as I could. As soon as my feet hit the concrete I hightailed it the fuck out of there

'They'll follow me, I know it,' I thought to myself as I ran into the nearest fast food joint to get food.

I ate my food quickly, earning wary looks from my parents as I rushed to the safety of my room. Once the door was shut and locked I pulled the memory card from my camera and began uploading the pictures I had taken today. I tossed my hair up into a messy bun as I watched the loading screen count up to one hundred. I pulled up one particular photo and noticed I had managed to get all four of the turtles. However, the one in blue was at the center point of the photo; I felt my cheeks turn hot once again and quickly closed my computer.

As soon as the lid was shut four loud thumps echoed from my ceiling. Looking up I let out a shaky breath

'They're here,' I thought to myself as I cradled my camera with the SD card close to my chest.

Before I had the chance to make a run for my door, I felt a chain wrap itself around my waist and pull me away from the door. I felt the breath leave my lungs as I held my camera even tighter. Once I was safely on the roof I noticed three of the four turtles surrounding me. Like lightening, i felt my camera pulled from my grip causing my eyes to widen as I quickly stood up.

"Please, don't break it!" I yelled out in desperation as I kept my eyes on my prize in the clutches of the green hand.

"Give me one good reason not to," The turtle in red replied as he gripped it even tighter.

I felt tears start to prick at the corners of my eyes when a deep voice spoke up quickly.

"Raph, give the camera to me and go make sure Donnie and Mikey are done," The turtle in blue ordered, causing Raph to glare at him before tossing him my camera and jumping over the side of the building.

I watched the turtle warily as he gently pulled out my SD card and stuffed in the side of his belt. Once the task was done he came up to me slowly before holding out my camera for me to take. I quickly grabbed my prize and held it close to my chest once again. I craned my neck to look at him as he sent an apologetic smile my way.

"I'm sorry about my brother, he has a bit of an anger issue. I'll return your SD card to you when we get the picture deleted."

I sent him a small smile before speaking for the first time since the incident, "I'm holding you to that. I expect it back before Saturday."

He chuckled lightly before stretching out his hand and speaking in a relaxed manner, "My name is Leonardo, but you can just call me Leo."

Taking his hand gently I was able to see that his eyes looked almost glowed in the light of the lamps from below

'They really suit him.' I thought to myself causing a pink dust to settle on my cheeks.

Clearing my throat I responded, "My name is (Y/N). Pleasure to meet you."

He was about to respond when the yell of his name grabbed his attention. Quickly letting go of my hand he turned to run off the roof. but e then turned his head to look at me with a smirk on his face.

"I'll see ya around, (Y/N).

I gave him a shy smile as I responded in a quiet voice, "See you soon, Leonardo."

I felt the air brush gently over my ears as I watched him disappear into the city skyline, the moon coming into full view as the sky turned purple. I could hear their yelling and cries of joy, causing me to giggle at their childish acts. With all that happening I failed to notice that the pink ha remained a dark rose and a new sparkle begin to shine in my eyes.
