We were in the cafeteria. My friends and I sat at a big table as everyone was in mid conversation. Sage was on about the girl he met. That's all he talked about. He said that hes so in love with her and all that shit. I really hoped that I wouldn't be like that when I meet the person I love.

"Carson?"

I look up and Sage laughed at me.

"What?"

"This weekend? We're all going to the garden to smoke weed, remember?"

I nod. "I'm going to have to pass on that."

"Why?" Sage asks. "You have to meet, Katie."

I shake my head. "I'm good."

Sage gets up and he tells me to follow. I get up and we make our way to the cafeteria food.

"Whats up with you?" He asks.

"Nothing." I say.

He rolls his eyes. "Look, you've been acting weird for a week now. What is it?"

"Nothing." I spit.

I was jealous. Jealous of Sage and his new girlfriend. I remember the day he told me he had only a week left till he met her. I was heart broken. I had loved Sage since we were kids. And he had never felt the same way.

"Carson." I hear.

I turn around and it was Ethan. The weird guy that crashed into me yesterday.

"What's up?" He smiled.

"And who's this?" Sage asked.

I shrug my shoulders. "Ethan this is Sage."

"Sup man."

Sage laughed and walked away back to the table. I sigh and I hit my back on the wall.

"He doesn't seem like a very nice dude."

"What do you want?" I ask.

Ethan smiled. "Well when I left you yesterday I realized since you were walking my way home you probably live near me."

"And?"

"And... You can walk home with me today. After school."

"You're really strange."

"Strange is better than boring." He says leaning on the wall next to me.

I laugh and I nod. "I guess."

He looks at me and smiles. And I guessed I smiled too. This boy was very strange.

"So after school then." He said pushing himself off the wall. "I'll see you then."
