Chapter 5 - Nice to Meet You

Carson's P.O.V

School had finished and I making my way out the gates. I hear that stupid sound of the skateboard gliding on the concrete.

"I wanted to say something." He said as he skated beside me.

"Will you ever let me be?"

Ethan got off his board and stood in front of me. "I'm sorry for what I said."

I look at the ground.

"I shouldn't have asked about it. I know, this thing is scary." He stated pulling up his sleeve and looking at his time. "I'm sorry."

"And I guess I'm sorry for what I said." I say with a small smile. "I'm sorry for being uptight."

Ethan smiled too. "Are you always like that?"

I shake my head. "No."

"Do you want to talk about it?" He asks scratching his neck.

"I don't-"

"Know me, I know." Ethan said rolling his eyes. "I know this place a few seconds from here. We can talk there?"

"Okay." I say with a nod. "Let's go."

Ethan shined a smile and we were off down the street. We walked pass his house and he points it out. We walk pass mine and I point it out. We weren't so far from each other. Ethan and I went a couple blocks until we came to a park. I small one. It only had swings and a slide.

"Wow, how interesting." I mumble.

Ethan chuckles and he sits on the swing. I take the one next to him and he stares at his shoes.

"Go on then." He says. "Tell me."

"Can we just swing?" I ask.

Ethan nodded and looked up at the sky. "Are you scared of it?"

I look at him. "Yes."

"Three months." He says. "That's not very long when I think about it too much."

"The thing is, is that it's not long at all." I say.

Ethan's P.O.V

"I think we should start again." She says. "I'm Carson Woodridge. It's nice to meet you."

I laugh and I shake her hand. "I'm Ethan Dolan."

"It's nice to meet you." Carson says.

"It's nice to finally meet you too."
