"—And that makes.. Kim Hanbin and Kim Jiwon to be the last pair for this group project presentation."Deep dark orbs widened slightly upon hearing the words his teacher sent shiver through his spine. Did she just?
"Remember to collect it next month before your final exams start. Also, all of you better participate for it to be the final score for your projects. Now you may dismiss."
She. Did.
And that's all it takes to make the latter inhales his breath, unwarily harder and heavier than it should.
That's also all it takes for him to bit his bottom lip, hard enough to prevent a smile which urged to creep its way into his facade once his gaze laid to the back of broad shoulders infront of him which belonged to his soon-to-be group partner.
Kim Hanbin was beyond excited.
———
A soft sigh eventually heard from the messy dark brown haired boy—Kim Jiwon, whose body has long ago rotated in order to face his partner. "So..."
Hanbin can't stop attaching his gaze on every little things Jiwon did. How he rotated his body, how his hands are looking fidgety, how beautiful his eyes are while gazing back at Hanbin's, and how that pouty lips moved as he said something. Oh. Oh. Hanbin blinked, cleared his throat. "Yeah right. About the place well, my house is available. Always though." Okay, smooth.
"Uh. No. that's not.." Hand smothered over the back of his neck, eyes breaking the contact. Cute.
"What?"
"Look, you don't have to—we don't have to. Y'know, I'll just do it myself. I can send the presentation to your email—at least five days before the d-day."
"No."
"Good—wait, what?" Taken aback by his answer. Jiwon's mouth went agape. Who the hell said no to his generous intention? Well, Kim Hanbin obviously did.
"No?" Palm snuck under his chin, endured the weight of his lazy head. He sighed, there's no way in hell he would miss such an opportunity. "Listen, I honestly have no idea why would you prefer to work alone. But this is a group project. Define group for me, Jiwon."
Fiery red engulfed both of his pierced ears. Hearing that made him furious, heck as if he doesn't know what a group means—It's just, he hated it. He hated company. He hated working together. He hated social interaction. Instead of answering, the latter sent him a glare.
"It's a wrap then. Since tomorrow is friday, might as well be starting tomorrow. My house, 5PM." Hanbin slyly tilted his head as he erased a little bit of distance by moving his head forward.
"Just.. Fine." Surrendering, Jiwon began to ruffle his hair. Maintaining a messier hair rather than before. "Text me your address."
An adequate smirk landed on Hanbin's facade. Jackpot. Goddamit, he doesn't know what made him this lucky but hell if he wouldn't do anything to figure it out. Because honestly, he'd love to be this lucky everytime Jiwon is around. His hand sneaked its way to his school blazer's pocket to get his phone afore offering it to Jiwon. "Give me your number."
A soft sigh escaped his lips unknowingly, taking the latter's phone in order to type down his number. He named himself as 'Kim Jiwon' right away before saving. Handing back the phone with much pressure on it. Does he really have to do this?
Hanbin took it with a slight smile, then started to form an extended information about his house. Clicked the word 'send' as Jiwon's phone lightens up in some moments, informing that he received the message. "I'm surprised that you didn't lie about giving me your real number."
Jiwon who was focused in reading the message, trying to acknowledge the address frowned to the statement. His head shot upward. "And why would i do that?"
Shrugged playfully. Hanbin began to gather up his school equipments into his bag, standing up whilst gaze still placed on the male who's gazing back to him in query. Hanbin found that hilarious, he snickered. "C'mon Jiwon, we still have another class to go."
His frown erased with a dumbfounded look. He blinked in awe perpetually, processing his words into an invitation. Jiwon did not see this coming, "I.. Okay." Slumped his bag onto his right shoulder as he slowly stood up. Hanbin surely won some inches taller than him now that he noticed. Jiwon felt the male's body temperature creeped over him, warmth seeping through the distance they made. Not too close but it's not the right kind of far either. Somehow Jiwon felt—alright with the warmth. Well, maybe because Hanbin has sat behind him.. he forgot since when. Huh.
