"Terra, someone is at the door for you!" my mother yelled. I ran downstairs, "I didn't know you had a boyfriend, honey."
"Mom, I'm only thirteen...guys have coodies anyway." I lied. I have a crush on this guy, Talen. He's my friend, but I doubt he likes me the way I like him. That's why I consider him my crush and not a boy I like. A crush is when you like someone, but they'll never like you back.
"Hey, Terra." A boy at the door smiled. I'd know that smile anywhere, the only smile that I'll never get tired of looking at. His dark hair was slightly spiked up, his light ocean blue eyes light up when I ran to him for a hug. He's taller than I am, which is rare for boys my age.
"Talen!" I yelled, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to talk to my best friend, of course." Oh yay, the friend zone. "Wanna go for a walk?" his eyes seemed vulnerable...well I think I've been staring at his eyes the whole time, his dreamy ocean blue eyes.
"Uh, yeah, sure." My mother was watching this whole time.
"Coodies, huh?" She laughed.
"I'll be back in a bit, mom. Love you."
"Love you, too." I put my shoes on fast and walked out the door with Talen. As soon as I closed the door, he held my hand and I started to blush.
"You're probably wondering why I came to your door without telling you earlier, but you'll find out soon." He's leading me towards the school park, which is a two minute walk from my house.
Suddenly, he wasn't a boy unhurt from reality. "I'm moving to Australia next week." he stared at the ground, unable to look at me in my boring hazel eyes.
"Australia is nice, you'll make new-"
"None like you." he interrupted me. It was quiet for a little. "I know you like me." He smiled shyly, but how does he know that?
"What!? Who told you?" I've never told anyone, he's the only friend I'd talk about my feelings to.
"No one, you just did." He smirked, I never noticed he had dimples. "I like you, too, and that's why I'm talking to you right now." He still held my hand the whole time.
I was trying to avoid his gaze, "Yeah, well nothing matters now. You're leaving me, and we'll both have to get over it." I whispered loudly enough for him to hear. I don't know how I would get over him, all I know is that I have to.
"I'll never get over you, Terra. Ever since I met you, I've wanted to be able to hold your soft hands and be able to stare at your beautiful hazel eyes."
"Well, you're not going to be able to. And my eyes are not-" He pressed his lips against mine. I may be thirteen, but it just felt right.
"They are, just as beautiful as you." His smile made me smile, it can make anyone smile.
"Can we take one more picture before you leave? So like that I'll always have you everywhere I go." He didn't even answer, he just took my phone and took a picture.
He waked me back home and kissed me one last time before we said goodbye. It would've been better is he never came, now he's leaving me while I'm broken.
