Third person's point of view.

Hisuiharu never expected her new little Scorbunny to want to battle with her so much, he was insistent on fighting the trainers in the Grass Gym after each round up of the Wooloo. And seeing as the other trainers are grass type trainers, she had no problem with it. In fact this Scorbunny is quite strong, checking it's stats on her Pokédex, she realized that she lucked out because it has it's hidden ability Libero.

On top of having two egg moves as well. Such as High Jump Kick and Sucker Punch. It's already super rare to get one of those moves on a Pokémon, but to have both, she's really lucky and even more invested in helping this Scorbunny be as strong as he can be, his states also put him at a level 13 when she got him, so he only had Ember and Flamethrower as his fire moves, as well as those two egg moves,

She planned to teach him Bounce when he became much stronger, his future move to learn that is fire is Pyro Ball but that only comes in when he's finished evolving. Now standing before Milo, she smirked. "My Gym's the first one people face, so we get a lot of challengers. That's why I try to keep the Gym mission challenging, but... that didn't stop you from completing it, Hisuiharu! Proper job!" Milo said with a wide smile.

"If you think it was challenging then you may need some pointers, Milo." she started then with a teasing smirk added, "Or glasses," he laughed and nodded, "Maybe," he said as he calmed down. "Sure seems like you understand Pokémon real well. This is gonna be a doozy of a battle! I'll have to Dynamax my Pokémon if I want to win!" he said as he held his Pokéball in his hand, Hisuiharu chuckled.

"If I even let you get that far that is," she teased her ice blue eyes peeking over the rims of her glasses and startling Milo with how powerful the intimidation and confidence was and he worried more, "Leon was right," Milo mused to himself softly, "She is intense," he finished before releasing his partner. The first being a Gossifleur, Hisuiharu smirked. "Leafeon! let's go!" she said and the Pokémon landed in front of Hisuiharu after being released from it's ball.

"I feel I should warn you, your grass types won't really do you any good here," Milo tried to warn, "I'm not worried," she said with a knowing smirk and he caved, "Okay then," he said and then sent his Gossifleur after her Leafeon.

Hisuiharu was a bit disappointed. She expected the fight to have been a bit harder. But... Milo was easy enough to go up against. His Gossifleur and Eldegoss put up a decent fight but they could not keep up with her well practiced team. It feels unfair of her to use her current team but, how would others learn if she didn't put up the best fight she could, she felt like she's caught between a hard place and a rock.

"You look how I feel," Milo's familiar voice called from behind her, turning in her seat to look at him, he looked unbothered and a bit too calm especially after the battle he'd just had. "What makes you say that?" she said back trying not to see too defeated. "You gave me your all in that battle," he said, setting his hand on her shoulder. "It's my fault for not being a better challenge for you," he added while squeezing slightly,

"I should have realized who I had in my gym, Champion Hisuiharu Natsuki." he said using her title. "Have you ever lost a battle?" he asked genuinely curious, "No, not that I can think of, I've been challenged a lot over the years," she said and he could understand why she wouldn't remember a loss or two. "Then who would take your place while you travelled?" he asked. "In Kanto, I had beaten the Elite Four and when I expected a champion..." she said trailing off.

"All I got was Professor Oak saying that I was the champion, trainers would painstakingly work their way through the Elite Four, some wouldn't even make it through past Agatha, but if anyone could they would either make it to me or would fail with one of the other three." she explained. "It was a long many years for me. I'd gone up against all matter of trainers. Most never made it past my Venusaur," she added.

"But then two boys showed up, both only a year younger than me and the first to go up against me, lost." she said with a half-hearted smile and Milo smiled softly with her, "He'd put up such a hard fight that even though he lost, I've given him the Championship," she explained. "What was his name?" Milo asked, "Gary Oak, Professor Oak's grandson." she said, "Oh, I heard of him, he's a Researcher in Sinnoh." Milo said and Hisuiharu nodded.

"He stopped being a professional trainer in favor of doing what his Grandfather does, and Isamu the other boy who had left the same time as Gary is now out in the wilds doing whatever he wants without being bothered by anyone." She explained. "Sometimes I think he had the right idea, but then I think my Pokémon would be mad at me for abandoning the world just because I was tired of winning," she said and Milo smiled.

"So why did you decide to come here and go through the stress of going up against the gym leaders?" he asked she sat quiet for a moment before speaking, "I guess at first it was genuine curiosity then I ran into someone that awakened a new fire in me," she said and he knew it couldn't have been anyone other than Leon. He has that effect on everyone. "You know from a young age Leon has been told he'll do amazing things," Milo said,

Hisuiharu tried not to look too interested, but Milo could see right through her, "He tries to hide the fact that he feels lonely, but us other gym leaders can see it, and we don't like it, he's got this great ambition and a will to help others and Pokémon but his loneliness..." Milo explained it was getting to him how much Leon's outer persona bothered him, "No one should push that much emotion down, it's not healthy." he added.

"Thanks Milo," she said patting his muscular shoulder as she then used it to help herself up. Getting up as well, Milo turned to take her hand, with it in his hand he was about to speak when the roar of a Charizard cut him off. Both Milo and Hisuiharu looked up at the large Pokémon, then noticed Leon leaning over the side to make sure Charizard didn't land on them. When he was barely a foot from the ground Leon jumped off.

He was instantly rushing towards Hisuiharu, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders and pulled her towards himself which pulled her hand out of Milo's hold. "I heard there was a Team Rocket attack I got here as quick as possible!" he said sounding more than a little winded. "Leon?" Hisuiharu said a bit confused. He pulled back to look into her eyes he fused over her and she was trying to get him to talk to her properly.

Milo was just enjoying this new side of Leon. "LEON." Hisuiharu said firmly, without raising her voice. He froze and looked at his feet embarrassingly. "If it's not already obvious that I'm fine then I'll say it so you can hear it." she said then tapped the underside of his chin so he'd look at her. "I'm. Fine." she said firmly and clearly, he let out a deep breath and looked his eyes quickly flickered to Milo and then down to his hands.

Milo saw this and held up his hands in defense, Leon looked back at Hisuiharu and took her hands into his own. He squeezed a bit and relaxed as he held them. She was still confused by this and his need for skinship but she wouldn't be the one to let go first, she liked the warmth of his hands and couldn't figure out why. "I got to get back, it was nice to see you again Leon," Milo said addressing Leon first then he looked at Hisuiharu,

"If you ever wanna talk let me know," he said and she nodded. Then he was gone, leaving Leon and Hisuiharu alone, Charizard lay down and took a nap. "I'm sorry for suddenly showing up like this, but I had gotten word that Team Rocket was causing trouble here in town and I knew you were here and before I could even stop to think I was rushing here to make sure you were okay," he said while barely taking in a breath.

"Hey, I told you I'm fine, I've been dealing with Team Rocket close to a decade and they suck at their 'job', I know what I'm doing Leon." she said wiggling her arms to get his attention as his arms moved too because he still held her hands. Blinking he frowned, "10 years?" he asked curiously, she nodded. "Ever since I started traveling and working with my Pokémon," she said and he still looked a bit confused,

"I started really early," he narrowed his eyes suspiciously, "How early is early for you?" he asked, "Four and a half," she said and his jaw dropped. Smirking she looked down slightly, it always made her laugh a bit when people found out how long she'd been doing what she was doing.
