I couldn't sleep last night. Was he telling the truth yesterday? He probably was. It doesn't surprise me that Leon thought those things. He normally does. I turned on the light and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. I got out after a few minutes and dried my hair. I brushed out all of the knots and opened the mirror cupboard. I looked through it to see if there was anything that could wake me up. Nothing. I headed to my room and noticed something was off. I don't remember closing my bedroom door. I passed it off and got dressed. I packed my bag and headed to the store and got myself a Monster for the morning. I poured it into my water bottle and headed to school. I went to my locker like usual and then to class. I noticed Lucien in the back drawing again. I sat next to him and he seemed concerned.

"Did you sleep last night? You have bags under your eyes," he said putting his hand on my cheek. I pulled back.

"I'm fine. I just stayed up late doing homework," I didn't lie. I did do my homework late a night or early this morning. He continued to draw for a minute till he spoke again.

"You don't have your headphones. Why?"

"I forgot them."

The bell rang and class started. Leon and his friends were talking but I couldn't hear what it was. Lucien seemed pissed though. He ended up braking his lead pencil from it. He pulled out another continued working. He seemed not to show many emotions often. He didn't talk to anyone really besides me as well. It was a bit odd but I just thought it was from him being new. It was spring and getting warmer so I was thinking about taking a dip somewhere sometime. Maybe later today I'll go to the waterfall in the woods. Peace and quiet from the loud public pool and no fear someone will find me. It would be me and nature for the day. I love the idea.

Lunch came around and I was talking to some friends about my plans. I realized later that I shouldn't of spoke aloud but at that moment I didn't think anything bad of it. They told me to have fun and I sat at my normal table in the back of the lunch room. I didn't see Lucien in lunch today once again it was odd. He has the same lunch as me so it was confusing. I ate my lunch as usual and I couldn't wait till later today.

Last period came around and I watched the minute hand move to each minute on the clock till the bell rang. I headed to my locker and left almost immediately. I walked home. The walk was quiet. I missed my headphones. Without them  the world was empty. It felt like it took longer then usual from me not able to count the songs that play. Three and a half sometimes two. When I arrived home I fell onto the couch tired from the long walk. I plugged my phone in in my room and decided to make myself a sandwich for a snack. I turned on the TV and watched an episode of one of my favorite shows on Hulu. When it was over I headed upstairs and couldn't find my phone. It ended up being under my bed.

"I guess it fell," I reassured myself and changed into my bathing suit.  I put on a shirt over it as well as some shorts. I put on my converse and packed a bag with a towel, a change of clothes, my phone, and a few snacks. I grabbed my headphones and headed off to the swimming hole. No one was there from it being slightly chilly so I was alone just how I liked it. I took off my over clothes and dipped my feet in to get use to the water. I got in and relaxed by the waterfall while listening to my music.

Sadly I couldn't hear anything else around me. I could notice the strange waves of the water and the feeling of being watched. I turned around often with no one there. I thought I was just being paranoid. Because of my music I couldn't hear the person sneaking up behind me. I took out my headphones and heard a loud snap. I placed my headphones and my phone behind me and got out. I looked into the woods.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" I asked. I shook it off and thought it was an animal or something. I turned back around to get back in when I was pushed. I fell into the cold water hitting my back off of the river bottom. It hurt like a mother fucker. I was lucky I didn't hit my head. I pushed myself up to shore and started coughing while resting on the side. I finally caught my breath when I looked up. Leon. I could feel the blood rushing down my back just like the water moving past my legs.
