Chapter Three; Nightmares

Well, she did say someone. Who? Who could get past security? Our gates? Me?

Oh.

Was it me who accidentally lit something on fire?

~-Luke's POV-~

It had been a few hours later, Victor's house was back to normal(Maddie's powers are to create, even though she wasn't there).

Anyways, we slept at Alisa's house. The team only knew that we slept at her house. They knew nothing about the fire.

It was about one AM, and everyone but me was asleep. At least I think so.

Alisa lives alone, and honestly I didn't think someone else is awake right now.

I heard something in the hallway, but ignored it. Then I heard it again. And again.

Squeaky floor boards. Footsteps...? No. No. No. It's just the house settling. Okay? Okay.

A door opened. It was farther away. I looked at Victor and Alisa. Okay, both still there.

It was hard to see, but it was basically pitch black.

I heard something crash. Vic and Alisa didn't hear that...?

I quietly got up, opening the door and walking silently down the hall. I closed my eyes as I stopped outside the dark kitchen. I was invisible.

I opened my eyes to see a dark figure, cursing? Then I remembered the crash. Why don't I mess with him?

I tapped the door.

He froze, looking startled.

I knocked. He closed his eyes, calmed himself down, and kept doing whatever he was doing.

I was about to do something when I heard a scream.

Alisa!

I sprinted down the hallway, throwing the door open. The room was empty.

No Victor. No Alisa.

Crap!

I looked to the window feeling a slight breeze, and stared out the opened window.

They were kidnapped?

"CRAP!" I whispered.

"What?" I heard a familiar voice whisper back.

My eyes widened.

"Luke?"

Victor!

I opened my eyes, waking up in Alisa's bed with her and Victor by my side.

Window was closed. One AM.

Footsteps echoed around the halls.

I shook Alisa and Victor, them waking up immediately.

"What?" Alisa snarled.

Victor stared at the door. "Footsteps..."

I nodded. We had a long night ahead of us... yay.
