"Well, what do you want?" Lexa asked, curiosity lacing her tone. I glanced at her, thinking about why she asked that question. Hell, no ones ever asked me that before. I think about what I want, and I realize there isn't much, as I just want to get this war over with.

"Nothing. My people back." I said. Lexa nodded her head and a silence fell over
us.

Truthfully , I wish she would keep talking so I wasn't left alone with my thoughts.

"You could come with me to the capitol. Polis would change the way you think about us." Lexa said shyly. She was trying to mask her nervousness but I saw her emotions before they went away. It was odd, when had the commander ever been nervous to ask a question.

"You already changed the way I think about you." I said, giving her a hopeful grin, hoping to calm her nerves. She only smiled slightly, turning her head back to look at the door. I had hardly ever seen her smile, even a small one, around anyone other than when we were alone. I wish she did smile more though. All of a sudden, I saw the lights turn off at the door, letting us know the power was down. I quickly pulled out the button device to trigger it, knowing I had a short time limit to do this. I held out my hand to Lexa, who glanced at me quickly before looking back at the device in my hand. She grabbed a hold of my hand and I put my hand on top of hers. Her touch gave me a weird feeling in my stomach as I tried not to think about how perfect her hand felt with mine.

"To those we've lost." I started.

"And to those we shall soon find." Lexa finished the sentence and we both pressed the button at the same time. There was a loud boom as the bomb exploded and the grounders exploded into a frenzy.

"Open the door! Indra, hurry quickly and take warriors up to the ridge, they may have shooters up there!" Lexa yelled quickly. She had slipped back into commander mode as I called it and she barked orders quickly. I prepared myself to run into mount weather, ready to find my friends. Warriors behind me buzzed with excitement as the door slowly opened. Gunshots rung out quickly but they weren't hitting us, thanks to Indra's team who was dealing with the shooters. I looked over at Lexa, who's gaze was on me. I wondered why she was gazing at me but as I made eye contact I only saw hope in her eyes.

"Be careful Clarke." She said, a smile plastered on her face. Then as quickly as it appeared, the smile disappeared and she held up her sword and ran in the direction of the door. I yelled as well, feeling the hunger to find my friends and get out alive burn inside of me. I ran inside mount weather, hoping the plan wasn't ruined yet.
