Hey guys!

I hope you enjoy this story! I rarely write about Rachel, so I'm sorry if she seems out of character.

So, just for a bit of background. In this story Rachel and Finn did get married in season three and takes place six months after that.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter one.

Rachel never expected it to end so soon. But here she was, dressed in black as she gave people fake smiles as they gave her their condolences. And soon, she would be burying her husband.

She wiped her eyes, then looked over at the coffin at the back of the room. The coffin was opened, but she didn't dare go over there. She couldn't see him right now, she had to keep herself in one piece. She would cry again when she got home.

She had loved Finn. He was her inspiration, her "moose" as he would say. And he was taken from her, with no warning. Just a call, saying that her husband had died in a car crash and had been pronounced dead at the hospital.

"Rachel, I'm so sorry, sweetie." Carole said as she pulled her into a hug.

Rachel smiled sadly. "Thank you." She whispered. "And I'm sorry. Finn was a great man."

Calling Finn a great man was an understatement. He was trustworthy, loving, adorable, goofy, sweet, caring, kind, loyal. Rachel could continue the list for hours.

Rachel turned around as someone placed their hand on her shoulder. "Daddy." She cried, falling into her father Leroy's arms.

Leroy hugged her, then kissed top of her head. "Are you thirsty, Rach?" He asked, and Rachel knew that it was because of how he had raised her to think that her sadness was just thirst. But for the first time in her life, she wasn't thirsty. She was broken, hurt, in need of the man in the coffin. But he was gone.

Rachel shook her head. "No, I'm... there's no way to describe it, daddy." She sobbed. "Finn dead. He's gone. We were only married for six months."

"I know. I know, baby." Leroy soothed as he stroked her hair. "It hurts, but it will get better."

Rachel pulled away, then ran into the bathroom. She splashed water on her face, she had to stay strong, it's what Finn would have wanted.

She gently rubbed her lower stomach as she felt a wave of nausea hit her. Along with her husband's death, her period was going to start any day now, and she definitely had PMS.

She braced herself against the bathroom sink, and inhaled shakily as the nausea began to slowly go away. She hated PMS...

Rachel looked up as there was a knock on the door. "Rach, are you okay?"

She smiled weakly at the sound of her brother in law's high pitched, smooth as honey voice. "Yeah, I'm okay." She said, then unlocked the door and walked out.

Rachel found herself face to face with Kurt. His eyes were bloodshot, and the skin around them was pink and puffy. "Hey, Kurt." She greeted.

He smiled at her, it was a small smile. But still, it was a smile. "Hey." He echoed, then frowned. "Are you okay? You look pale..."

She nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said. "PMS."

Kurt reached over and patted her back hesitantly. "I hope you feel better soon." He said cautiously.

Rachel had never felt so exhausted in her life. She knew it was from the emotional strain of the funeral, and the physical strain of her upcoming period.

Though honestly, she didn't want her period. She didn't want to be reminded that she never had a child with the love of her life, the one person she actually wanted to have kids with. And that she never would be able to.

She rolled over, then grabbed Finn's old pillow and pressed it to her chest. She hurt all over, her lower stomach and her breasts were the worst. But she knew it would be gone in the next day or two, it all depended on when her period started.

She pulled the edge of the pillow up to her face and inhaled deeply, inhaling his woodsy sent. She missed him so much, they had been through so much to be together. And right when they thought it was time for their happy ending, with true love, children, successful music careers. But it was ripped away from them by a drunk driver. He was ripped away from her by a drunk driver.

A sob escaped Rachel's lips. She wanted her husband. She wanted her Finn Hudson.

But he was gone.
