I have never written a story before, so please be pacient with me. I have no clue what I'm even going to write, but I'm just writing random things right now, seeing what comes to mind. So here I go...

In the small town of Graceton everybody knows everyone's names and knows their personal lives. The town was buzzing when they heard of a new family moving in to the biggest lot of land in the town. They were all curious as to who this new family is and where they came from. Most importantly, why they where moving to this town, there was never anything interesting going on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Hadley family are like every other family, except that they are rich, extremely rich. They live in a house with 50 different rooms, 6 different cars, and all on 100 acres of land right on the beach. There's the mother, Madaline, she tries to be what she thinks is 'hip', not realizing that she is completely embarassing her two children and making a fool out of herself along the way. No one seems to make any comments on the way she acts, at least not around her, considering that she is the wife a a famous director, Stryker Hadley. Stryker Hadley is just the name that he uses to protect his identity, but everyone knows who he really is. His actually name is Dane Hadley. He prefers to keep is pen name because he, and the whole world, think that it sounds pretty cool. Their son, Alek, is the eldest of 17. He's the talk of the school. He's captain of the football team and the lacrosse team, and a straight A student. He's super nice, extremely popular, and every girl on campus wants to date him, but he doesn't seem to be interested in any of the stuck up snobs there. His younger sister, Lydia, was almost the same. Lydia is 16, and is captain of the cheerleading team and the girls lacrosse team, straight A student, and top of her class. She loves to cheer for her brother and star quater-back boyfriend, Jared, on friday nigt football games. She is the most popular girl in school, always nice, sometimes a lttiel snuck up, and almost everyone loved her... All except one girl, Alexa Rhea. She envied Lydia and her popularity, sure she was almost as popular as Lydia, but not for being nice. People wanted to be like her, but also feared her and her judgement. Lydia knows that Alexa hates her, and she tries everyday to fix what she might have done to make her hate her. Lydia had everything, an amzing house, captain of the cheerleading team and the girls lacrosse team, a perfect boyfriend, a great brother, awesome parents, a nice car, and supportive friends. Life couldn't be better for her, until three weeks ago.

Lydia's mom felt that it was necessary for a change of scenery. She thought that her kids were getting too spoiled, and she wanted to change that before things got worse. She convinced her husband that it was the best thing for the kids to move to a small town to get away from material objects that seemed to control Alek and Lydia. She felt that her kids weren't working hard for what they have and that they just expect to get everything that they want, completely forgetting about all of their accomplishments that they have word extremely hard for to achieve.

Lydia and Alek feel as though their lives are over, espcially Lydia. She had to work so hard to live up to her big brother's reputation, and now all that work is just vanishing in the blink of an eye. She doesn't want to leave her town, her school, her friends, nad espcially her boyfreind Jared. She feels like her mother has gone completely mad and that there's nothing that she can do to stop this move. Her life is coming crumbling down on her, and she can't avoid the wreck.

(3 weeks later)

"Lydia! Come on, we're going to be late and get stuck in traffic." Lydia's mom, Madaline, shouted up the stairs of their almost empty beach house.

"What traffic? You're moving us to the smallest town in the world mom! I don't think that they even have roads in that town." Lydia shouted back as she made her way down the stairs, glaring at her mom as she went. She hated how her mother felt the need to move her entire family to some small town with the weirdest name ever. Like seriously, Graceton? Who would ever name a town that?

"Well there is going to be traffic on the way to Graceton, and be real now, it's the 21st century, of course they have roads, I hope. Now stop being such a drama queen and lets go." Madaline was getting impacient with her daughter stalling them. She stood at the bottom of the staircase looking down at her watch and back up the stairwell.

"I don't understand why you are forcing us to move to a small town. We have our whole lives here. Our friends, our teams, and my boyfriend, Jared. You know the guy that you and Dad have basicaly already married me off to." Lydia yelled down the stairs, refusing to even glance at her mom as she passed her.

"I just think that t's time for a change. I feel like everone in this family is getting to caught up in the little things that they're forgetting what life is really about." Madaline retorted getting annoyed that her daughter is prolonging their departure even longer.

"And what exactly is life really about mom?" Lydia threw her arms up in exaperation. Feeling completely overwhelmed by her mother's stupidty and ignorance.

She had argued the move the moment her mother told her about it, and she tried her best to stop it. She cancelled the moving truck, 'accidentally' misplaced the confirmation papers for the new home, and even slashed her car tires 2 days ago so it couldn't be transported. Though, all her attempts were a fail. Her mother scheduled a new truck serivce, claiming that it is a better one than that of the first, and even got 6 trucks to pick up their boxes and furnature. The confirmation papers were also sent as in an email, set up by her mother incase the papers suddenly went missing. she knew her daughter too well, almost to well. And her car, well her father took it to the shop that day, and it now sits in the driveway, like brand new. Lydia tried to stop the move, but it seems that her mother was always two steps ahead. She couldn't wrap her head around why her mother is doing this to her, what did she ever do to deserve this?

"Lydia, the fact that you don't know the answer to that question is the reason why we are moving to a small town. Now stop standing there, delaying us even further and get in the car so that we can leave!" Madaline shouted back at her daughter. She had her limits worths of all of Lydia's shit. She couldn't take anymore, and couldn't stand to be in this conversation for another second.

Lydia just stood there with her hands on her hips as her mom threw her mom let out a big sigh, walked out the door and slammed it behind her. Once alone, Lydia let out a scream of frustration and stomped back up the stairs to her room. She had to she the room she grew up in one last time.

As she made her way down the hall, her door came into view. She opened it and went it, slowly, trying to remember every last detail or every last inch of her room. To the right was her full bathroom with marble counters and a marbled heated tiled floor. Her walk-in closet is right next to it. It's the same size of her bathroom, with carpet floors, light gold walls, and furniture in the middle. To the left of the room is where her 4 post bed used to be, and a small hang out space. There used to be a small couch facing where the 48 inch flat screen tv used to be. In the center of the room is where a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling. The floors were hard-wood floors with polished finish, and the walls a teal blue. One wall has a 4X3 foot window seat, another had a set of double doors leading to a balcony.

Lydia walked towards the double doors and pushed them open, walking out onto the balcony taking in the view one last time. There was an amazing view of the backyard. From where she stood, she could see the in-ground pool, the garden, and the hedge maze that she loved to get lost in.

Lydia let out a small sad sigh and walked back into her room and shut the double doors. She gave one last look around her room before hanging her head and walking out. Closing the door to the room that she knew all too well and hated to walk away from.
