Something more than reality : The Fire Iris

On our way

Mia's POV

I was walking down a forest road when I felt a drop of something fell on my head. I looked up at the sky and felt another drop. Now it dropped on my nose. ,, Oh no .I haven't even got an umbrella." I started to walk faster but I didn't found a shelter. Soon it started to rain heavily. ,, Great, now I'm soaking wet." I just sighted and walked faster. I tried to hide my bag but not with much success. Soon I came to a river. ,, Maybe there's a bridge nearby. I can't risk drowning. "  I took out my map and checked my location. There was a bridge nearby,  down on the left riverside. So I started walking down on the riverside. It was still raining heavily. After a while of walking I reached the small bridge. ,, Holy shit finally." I ran to it and hid under. It was getting late. ,, Uh I need to start a fire.It's getting cold." I looked around and saw some dry wood. Oh god at least. I saw some survivor films before but I'm not sure if I can do it. At least I try. I  started to rub two sticks together, but with no succes. Then I tried another technique. I grabbed two stones and collided them. First nothing. Then again and again but soon I saw a small  spark falling on the little pile of wood. It let out some smoke. I quickly grabbed some dry grass and threw it onto the pile. Soon it lit up and I let out a sight. ,,Finally I did it!" I was so happy. At least my clothes will dry faster. I lied down on the ground. It luckily stopped raining and I was about five meters away from the river so I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Zoe's POV

Me and Chris slowly walked on a forest road. It wasn't even a hour that we left the base. I looked around. This place is nothing more than muddy water and trees. But still it keeps me a bit nervous . I don't know why but I still...just feel bad about this place. As we walked along I started to feel like....being watched. I kept looking around and Chris seemed to notice. ,, Why are you looking around so much?" I just said,, I feel like someone is waching us."Chris looked at me with a weird expression. He then slowly looked around too. I saw him worried a lot of times but now he wasn't only worried he looked a bit...like he was aware of something. Then he grabbed my hand and started to walk fast. I followed him. ,, Chris what happened. Is everything ok?" I whispered.,, You remember when I told you that there are creepy creatures in this forest? Well I think one noticed us." I froze but Chris pulled me forward.,, W-What? " I was a bit worried. Actually who wouldn't be? Chris after a long while slowed down and let go of my hand. A big stone fell of my heart. I really don't want to fight a monster. Then we were walking silent. Soon I heard a crack from behind. I looked back but no one was there and Chris don't seemed to notice. I shook it of, but soon I heard another one. This time Chis head that too. We looked around then suddenly a tree fell down behind us. Something really hard must've hit the tree cause it looked like it wasn't rotten or something. I went closer and saw a huge crack on the trees side. 'Hmm interesting.' I thought. Chris seemed uncomfortable. He was looking around and said:,, Zoe I think I know what's following us." I was confused but still really curious.,,Tell me then." Chris looked around once more. ,, Well. It must be a-" He couldn't even finished the sentence because suddenly something horrifying happened.

Mia's POV

I woke up and looked around. As I thought the water didn't came up with a lot while I was asleep. I took some water and pour it on the still lit pieces of wood. I really don't want to cause a wild fire. I checked my map. I need to fo along till I reach a little glade. But first I need to go through a forest. I checked my things and started walking away. After about a hour of walking I reached the forest. Wow it looked pretty scary.But I have no choice so I walked in. I walked about ten minutes when I heard muffled voices from behind. I quickly hid behind some bushes. Soon two people walked past. They don't seem to be from around so I decided to follow them. I can be pretty sneaky if I want. I followed them till they reached a small camp. Then something popped up my mind. A flag. I need to find a flag. Zoe told me than here people are divided by their clothing, and especially the people from an other countries by flags. I walked around and saw it. It was a blue orchidin a black background. Oh god. This flag is probably the flag of Orchea or the country of darkness as Zara called it. There were about twenty people here. But soon two men appeared with a sceaming and crying little girl. She begged them but they didn't let her go. They came to someone who's probably the capitain here, and said: ,, Sir,this girl is from that family what sneaked food, what should her punishment be?"The soldier asked. The capitain crouched and mumbled something, but I didn't heard what it was. Then he shouted: ,,ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!" I wanted to run there and broke his neck. But if I do I'll probably fuck up. Then the capitain held a knife to the girls neck but she still didn't answered. He was about to kill her when I threw a rock nearby. Luckily no one noticed me only the rock. He pulled back the knife and said:,, Take her to the glade nearby and kill her, I don't want any mess here anyway." Then they took the girl. 'I need to rescue her.' I thought. I followed them. Soon they reached a smaller glade. It had a benefit.  The grass here reached to your hips. I easily sneaked behind one of 'em. I stabbed him in his back while I was covering his mouth with my hand. The other one holding the girl didn't noticed. He dropped her and said: ,, Die little bitch." But before he could even took out his weapon I kicked his leg causing him to fall. ,,WHAT THE-" He was cut of by me hitting his head with the handle of my dagger. He tried to kick me but I moved away swiftly. Then I got annoyed and jumped on him  stabbing him through his heart. I waited untill I saw that his breathing stopped. I stood up with an uneasy feeling but I shook it of and walked to the girl. She looked at me with a terrified expression. I said: ,, Don't be scared I won't hurt you." She a bit hesitantly stood up.,, What happened to you?" I asked. Oh poor girl. She had bruises and scratches all over her body. ,, W-Well I ... they killed...k-killed them...they killed them. "I looked at the girl a bit confused.,, Who? You mean these soldiers?" She nodded. I walked closer to her and grabbed her hand. She took it with a bit of nervosity but soon she hugged me. Oh poor little kid. She seemed to be only six years old. ,, Were did you came from." She looked at me and said. ,, Well I... came from a village neaby. Can you please take me back?" I nodded and picked the lil girl up. She told me the direction and I walked along.,, And what's your name?" I asked. She was still sobbing but told me that her name's Emily and that those soldiers killed her whole family because they were sneaking food from and other village. I just tried to keep her calm.  ,,And do you have a grandma of someone else?"She nodded.,,Yes my aunt lives in the same village as me." Thank god she was calmer now. Soon we reached a small village. Poor people. All of them looked like they haven't eaten in days. And those soldiers were almost everywhere. ,, I think we'll need to seek to your aunts house." She nodded. ,, Well, I can give you my neckwear and you can tie it around you head."
I nodded and did as she said.,, But, well... I look a bit more...I'm sorry, but I look more fit like other people here." She nodded and said: ,, Well I think I can find a blanket for you in our house." I looked at her a bit worried but nodded.,, But please be very carefull."She nodded and ran towards an old house what was right on the bigining  of the village. Soon she came back with a brown blanket. I covered myself with it. I must've looked hilarious. As we walked in the village I felt very uncomfortable. Only some people were outside. The little girl led me to an old house and knocked on the door. The door soon opened and a young womans smile greeted both of us. She quickly pulled the little girl in a tight hug.,, Oh, Emily! Dear you're alive!" The lil girl hugged back and said:,, Yeah thanks to this girl." She pointed at me. The woman quickly pulled both of us inside and closed the door.

Zoe's POV

A moster, a huge monster appeared suddenly in front of us . Chris quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me back. I was staring at it's cold eyes. They were pich black. I can't tell what it was. It looked like a mix of a deer and a wolf but much bigger.
Chris took out his sword and when the monster wanted to attack he swung it and slice through it's huge paw. I took out my sword too. And when the monster tried to attack me I swung my sword a bit akwardly but I cut his paw too. Oh god I'm still not used to this weapon.

Zoe's POV will be continued in the next chapter. And I'll upload a little information about the countries. I've already drew a map. I'll upload it as soon as I can
