Prologue

Auden had always been the outsider in his group of friends, though truthfully he was an outsider from the very beginning. Poor Auden Buffon had been found as the only survivor of a hospital massacre where a doctor infected with a strange disease had run poisonous chemicals through the ventilation system. The end result had been disastrous, of nearly 500 people,patients, staff, and Family,only two had survived. Our own Auden Buffon, and a very lucky doctor that had been doing some errands for her colleagues, though she died a couple days later from unexplained reasons. Auden(now an orphan) was put into childcare or as he called it, once he learned his speech;home hopping.

Auden had came to call it this due to the fact that no one kept him for long, sad really, the longest anyone had ever kept him was a mere three weeks. Sure, for the first week and a half they'd like his cute face and silent personality, but then they'd learn of the hospital massacre he was in. So, as a result, the family's sanity would spiral out of control and they'd think every shadow, sound, and person was a vengeful ghost following them because of Auden. Then it would hazily follow something like this; the family shuns Auden thinking it will stop the self-made demons following them, not wanting to immediately send him back because of what little sentiment they still had in them, but that soon ended with their "strategy" failing and would immediately take Auden back to the childcare home where he would stay until another unsuspecting family would pick him up and take him home. Though, strangely enough, the family that abandoned him would always commit suicide after a couple days, the police had tried time and time again to stop them but one way or another they would kill themselves, shot through the head, bled to death, repeatedly ramming head into a wall, they would always kill themselves, only the children and few adults that made it past a month would live to see another day. But that wasn't where Audens bad streak ended, no, it was just beginning.

In Audens teenage years he was followed by the reputation of dead family's, which nearly everyone knew about. Though in spite of this Auden persevered, he tried his best to act nice to everyone, even when they were mean and called him names. Eventually, it paid off, through his elementary and middle school years he was known to be really nice and thoughtful so when high school rolled around practically everyone forgot of the misfortunes that followed Auden. During high school Auden took a class in law planning to become a person that protected the innocent; a lawyer. When people found out they had supported him as best as they could, giving presents, encouraging him to work hard, he even started dating Ashley a girl he had liked during his 3rd year in high school, but on their first date disaster struck, as they were walking home from the bowling alley a drunk driver had swerved and smashed directly into Ashley, her death had been instantaneous.

When news of the accident got around the fact that Auden had a record of having deaths follow him resurfaced and caused the whole school to turn against him, those "friends" that had joked with him a week ago had all but abandoned him, even the teachers that he had looked up to started shunning him and gave him dirty looks when they thought he wasn't looking. Even through all this Auden finished high school with an outstanding score of 98% and got a job as a lawyer at Amy and co. Law offices. He had tried to leave all of the sadness of his girlfriends death behind and he did, although he kept a picture of her in his wallet so he wouldn't forget the tragedies that he's been through. At work he had made a great friend by the name of William Ina or as Auden called him will, they had become the best of friends, hanging out, playing games, even going drinking a few times, but when will realized that Auden hadn't a single relationship in 3 years, he had set up a blind date between Auden and some girl without his permission, but as will started to explain to Auden that he needed someone in his life, Auden had, after some convincing, agreed, he even started looking forward to the blind date, things had started looking up for 21 year old Auden, and this (my readers) is where our story begins.
