Chapter Eleven

HARPERS POV

I come out of my last bell yawning feeling very out of it today. This always happens when it's a gloomy rainy day. I didn't get my energy from the nice warm sun because of the clouds covering it.

"Kitten." I hear a low voice rumble

I jump startled by Ace coming in from behind me wrapping his arms around me and kissing me on the side of my head

I squeal turning around to face him "why do you always do that to me? seriously you need a bell or something." I giggle as he leans down and gives me a slow soft kiss I instantly taste cinnamon on my tongue before he pulls away

he smiles down at me as he takes my hand in his walking me down the hallway "does this mean you're done giving me the silent treatment?"

"I am because I can't seem to stay mad at you but that doesn't mean you're off the hook it's rude to mark a girl without her permission." I smile up at him

"I thought those cute little soft moans you were making were my permission Kitten." he gives me an innocent look

I smirk at him "really Ace innocence doesn't suit you."

"oh but it sure does suit you Princess." he growls bending down and scooping me up in his arms bridal style causing me to scream and giggle as he bites at my ear playfully it tickles

"Okay! Ace! put me down you're making a scene!" I shout between fits of giggles trying to gasp for air

He laughs as he sits me down on my feet at my locker and grabs my chin in his hand. Kissing me quickly before giving me a playful slap on my bum "hurry up I have dinner reservations for us." he gives me a crooked smile

I blush "okay." I go to unlock my locker and a shiver runs down my spine

it's not the kind of shiver I get from Ace no this one is way different it's like my body is warning me that something is close really close. I brush it off acting like it's nothing.. it is nothing..until I freeze when I feel the shiver again. I look over my shoulder a man with snow white hair turns the corner with principal Mr. Loomsy. They're both engaged in conversation then the strange but oddly familiar man looks up at me and the clear blue eyes pierce through me reflecting my own. I gasp dropping my books my head spinning my heart beat accelerating..that man...those eyes they haunt me almost every night in my sleep. They were in my nightmare last night and I have a feeling it was my powers warning me about him finding me today. Heidi! I call out in mind link he found me! My powers warned me all day and I just ignored it. I ignored the icky feeling and because of my stupid actions Alpha Hanes found me. Ace is at my side growling and licking his canines as he snarls at Alpha Hanes that stopped just a few feet from us. He looks over at me and gives me a cold smile because he knows he's won.

"Don't you dare look at her!" Ace growls snapping his canines a couple times in Alpha Hanes face Ace is shaking ready to lose to his wolf

He smirks at Ace "come on Ace you really want to start a war with me?"

Ace puts a protective arm in front of me pulling me behind him "you touch her and you won't get far enough to even start a war I'll snap your neck like a twig it'll be that easy." Ace growls

Alpha Hanes throws his head back giving out a cold deep throaty laugh "you're such a hot headed pup Harper really hasn't told you anything."

There's something off about Alpha Hanes the more that I look at him the more that it feels like my mind is trying to break down a wall. Images immediately flash through my mind showing when I was a little girl two years old and sitting on Alpha Hanes lap blowing bubbles. Then the horrible images of the beatings and being locked in the dungeon for months. I gasp when the words I plead to him every day come into mind the name that I referred him to.
