Chapter 1

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
I quickly got up and turned off the alarm before my parents woke up because if they woke up they would of beat me. I turn back over to find my little sister Mia cuddled up with one of my pillows . I quickly went over to the door and locked it and then went to my dresser and pulled out a black t-shirt, grey hoodie, black leggings and quickly took a shower. Once I got out I stood in front of the mirror and saw all the bruises from last night.
Flashback
Omg!! I'm 10 minutes late dads gonna be really mad. I started running and made it home after 3 minutes of running. I quickly opened the door and was about to go up the stairs , when all of a sudden someone grabbed me by that hair.
" where have you been you stupid slut" my father yelled.
I didn't answer because he doesn't like it when we talk back to him it only makes him angrier . I suddenly felt a sharp pain on me cheek and realized he had smacked me.
"Answer me you stupid whore" he yelled .
"I-I was at Amy's house d-doing homework" I stuttered afraid he would hit me again.
He threw me on the ground and started yelling and kicking me harder.
" DONT *kick* LIE *kick* TO *kick* ME !!"
On the 3rd kick I heard a crack and realized he probably broke my ribs again. After 15 minutes of continuously hitting me he finally got tired and went to bed. I crawled up the stair and onto my bed. I heard the door open and turned around quick afraid it would be my dad but I met with big brown eyes. I realized it was Mia she was crying probably because she heard what happened down stairs .
"Come here Mia" I said in a soft voice as she walked over to me.
"Did he hurt you" she said sobbing.
"No I'm fine why don't we get some sleep" she nodded and we went to bed together and finally let the dark consume me.
*End of Flashback*
I quickly changed into my clothe I pick out and woke up Mia so she could change before having to drop her off and Amber's ( my best friend) house . I quickly helped her change and then put on my black converse and walked downstairs quietly so we didn't wake up our father or step mother. I told Mia to sit out side while I made breakfast for them. While making breakfast I kept on get a sharp pain in my stomach and i knew it was because of my broken ribs but I still prefer to go to school than stay home. I accidentally dropped to much salt on the food and I knew that they would get mad and I didn't have much time to drop off Mia and get to school so I put it on a plate and put it on the table while they sat down to eat. They tasted the food and spit it back out as my father looked at me with anger in his eyes. He threw the plate at the wall and I watched as it shattered. Next thing I know I'm on the floor while being kicked by both my father and step mother. I heard another crack and I knew they probably broke another rib.

"Get out of my site" he yelled and he didn't have to say it twice.

I grabbed Mia and ran to Ambers house where she helped me control the bleeding.

After school
Threw out the whole school day I had a pain in my stomach but tried not to show it because i didn't want anyone to suspect anything. I was walking with Amy and Alex to Amy's house to pick up Mia so we could go to the park. We went to the park and I let Mia play for an hour before we would have to go home. On the way back I realized it was Friday and father always gets really drunk on Fridays so I decided to go to Amber's house and ask if she could stay there.
*knock* *knock*
I door open and I saw Amber standing there.
" What are you doing here? I'm not trying to be rude but it's getting late" she asked.
" It's Friday and i was just wondering if Mia could stay here you know why I don't want her home" I said to her. Amber and Alexa are the only persons that know that my 'parents' abuse us.
"Of course she can stay but are you sure you don't want to stay here too" she ask.
" I'm sure besides if I stayed he would probably come looking for us anyways" I told her.
I looked down at Mia and told her " Mia your going to have to stay here with Amber for the night and I'll pick you up tomorrow,Okay?"
She looked up and said okay without even asking why. After they went inside I started walking home and once I made it home it was around 6:30 so there was still light out. I opened the door and immediately saw my father there very drunk and angry when he saw me .
  "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN" he yelled.

I don't really know when I'll be updating so I'll probably just post randomly. Thanks for taking the time to read my book , it might be bad but that's because it's my first book.
