It was the next day and I was walking down the hall with my books in my hand. I see Ethan and he waves with a big smile on his face. I laugh a little as I make my way toward him. But then I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Miss Woodridge, long time no see."

"Hello Sage." I mutter.

"I haven't seen you in what?"

I shrug my shoulders. "A few days."

"We used to spend every second together."

I wanted to roll my eyes and punch him in the face because I was so mad at him.

"Before you timed you out." I say.

Sage nodded and looked to the ground. "Well, I'm not going to the next class. You know where I'm going?"

"Where are you going, Sage?" I question with an annoyed sigh.

"The pizza parlor." He smirked. "Just me, by myself."

I look at him and he could tell I was about to smile.

"I have a class."

"Who cares about class." Sage scoffed.

I look down the hall and I see Ethan making his way down the hall, board in hand.

"Woodridge, get to class." Ethan smirked giving me a hug.

I laugh and I hug back. But then I look at Sage's face. He looked like he was about to yell at Ethan.

"Sage." Ethan smiled.

"Dolan." Sage replied.

"Anyways, Carson and I was were about to go to the pizza parlor."

"We were?" I ask.

Sage nodded. "We were. C'mon, Carson."

He grabbed me by the hand and dragged me down the hall. I turn back to see Ethan laughing, he turned around, placed his board on the ground and skated off.

"Here are your pizza's." The lady smiled.

"Thank you." I smile.

I bring the pizza to mine and Sage's table. He was on his phone and I begun to eat.

"So hows your mom and dad?" He asked.

"Good." I say.

"Cool..." He says awkwardly.

We eat our pizza in silence. Sage and I always used to come here after school and during school. We would come here with the rest of my friends and just hang out. It felt weird being here. It had felt like I hadn't been here in months. And it probably had been. I was so over hanging out with them because we did the same thing every time.

And that's why I really enjoyed hanging out with Ethan. He was so adventurous and really loved doing new things.

"Three months."

"Let's not talk about it."

"Why?"

"Because it's stupid."

"How did you meet, Ethan?"

I laugh. "He crashed into me one day after school."

"And now you're what? Best friends?" Sage coldly chuckled.

"You're really intimidated by him aren't you?" I quiz.

Sage rolled his eyes. "I just think it's weird how you meet a dude one day and out of now where then you start hanging out with him a lot more than what we do."

I frown at him. "You wanna know why we haven't hung out?"

"Go on, Carson, have a melt down."

"Because you're always with your new girlfriend." I spit.

"You want me to control who I love?" Sage laughs.

I grab my bag and I stand up, getting out of my seat. I was making my way to the door until Sage calls out.

"Have a nice walk back to school. Tell your boyfriend he has problems."

I stop in my tracks and I turn back around and I storm back toward the table.

"Problems? You wanna know who has problems? People who go to a the same place every fucking week to do the same old shit. Ethan does not have problems. You have fucking problems."

"So what? You're going to throw away a 12 year friendship for a dude you met not so long ago?" Sage laughs.

"That's exactly what I'm doing."

Sage's smile soon turned into a frown.

"Have fun with your girlfriend, don't talk to me ever again."

With that I left the parlor and I never wanted to go back to that shitty place ever again.
