Chapter 3

I walk the dogs back to the park while holding the paper in my left hand.

As I approach the park Jamie is calming Laura down because she is crying hysterically while holding her belly. "Guys I found them!" Bo and Chase took off to their owners.

"Bo!!" Laura said teary-eyed and smiling "Chases why would you run away buddy?" Jamie said with a worried look on her face. Jamie looked up at me "Thank you so much, Val, I owe you" she promised "It's fine" Jamie smiled

"What's in your hand?" Laura questioned me.

"Oh, um it's an audition sheet for Dóchas Ballet Academy" I answered while looking at the paper

Jamie and Laura stare at me

"You know you shouldn't do this Val it'll cause you to get more ill" Laura spoke with concern. "I know but it has been a dream of mine," I say while smiling and putting the paper to my chest.

Jamie's face is puzzled

I know that Jamie is going to say something really dumb I just know she is.

"Why do you like ballet?" Jamie questioned

What did I tell you?

"You know it has always been my dream to become a ballet dancer" I speak.

"No, I didn't that's why I asked," Jamie says "Well now you know"

"You know that won't be good for your health" Jamie replies "But guys you have to let me do this you're never supposed to crush someone's dream" I state. They look at each other and nod "Ok, but if you start to feel ill feel free to call me anytime" Laura says "Just don't call me while I'm sleeping" Jamie speaks and we all laugh "Just kidding you can call me anytime" She adds while stroking Chase's head

"Ok well it's getting late I think it's about that time to go," I said and smiled "Ok well see you later," Jamie said and Laura waved goodbye "Bye" I tugged on Sal's leash to get him to walk with me.

He walked beside me all the way to the car.

"Up" I order Sal. He jumped up in the passenger seat. I closed the door folded the paper and put it in the thingy you put your arm on and pulled out the park and onto the street.

As I was driving Sal pushed down the window button to make the window go down. Then he stuck his head out of the window with his tongue sticking out.

"Sal!" I said laughing

I turned on the radio and put on "Broken Clocks" by SZA

I begin to sing along:

I pulled up at my mom's house. I saw mom standing by her garden with her hand to her head.

I sang the last part of the song quietly "You love me"

I parked the car and Sal hopped out of the drivers' door and walked slowly behind me. "Ohh Sal now you're in trouble," I said cheerlessly

He whimpered and walked under my legs

"Sal did you do this?!" mom yelled loudly walking towards us
