*Austin's POV*

I haven't had much time for Nikki lately with all of the interviews and studio sessions. I know it kills her that I can't make time because it kills me too. The last time I talked to her was almost a week ago and she didn't sound too happy. I asked if she wanted to talk about it but she just kept avoiding the subject so i left it alone.

I got up early this morning because I have a performance in New York at the Today Show. Because I had gotten so early I decided to call Nikki and check up on her. After all I had an hour to kill.

I called her phone but she didn't pick up. I tried 4 more times but still no answer. I thought it might've been the time difference because it was 5am here so it must've been about 2am there but I was still worried so I texted her.

"Hey babe. I tried calling but you're probably sleep. I just had some free time and wanted to check on my princess. I love you baby and I hope you're watching when I perform today "

I pressed send and sat my phone down. I laid back down but before I could get comfortable I heard my phone vibrate. I looked and it was a text for Lyssa.

"Austin I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but Nicole's in the hospital"

My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach when I read that but I gather the strength to reply.

"WHAT HAPPENED!?"

She replied almost instantly.

"She was jumped by some guys trying to rob her. The doctor say she has a small case of amnesia. "

"AMNESIA?! How bad is it?" I replied.

"She can't remember any from last year and a half. Austin, she can't remember you."

I just sat there. I couldn't move. When it was time to go to the Today Show I refused. Nothing could make me go. I locked myself in my hotel room for 2 days. I barely slept and didn't eat at all.

Alex finally got into my room after hours of trying. Must've used the maids key card. He sat down beside me begging to know what's wrong. I couldn't speak though. I looked at him ,my eyes tired from crying. He could see the pain in my eyes and his immediately began to fill with tears. He stood up and wrapped his arms around me. The only thing I could do was hug him back.

"Sh-She has amnesia." I struggled to get out before I broke down again."What happened?" he said his voice cracking. I showed him the texts and he just turned and hugged me again.

"We need to get down there," he whispered as he released me from his grip.

Sorry this one is so short. I haven't had time to update so I just pushed something out of my head. next chapter will be better I promise
