||CHAPTER FIVE||

JIMIN

I'm driving somewhere. I don't even know where. I still feel her weight in my arms. It's stuck, I'm stuck. This girl has lasted way too long. I mean 4 years? I've loved her for four years. And tae? He's known her for how long? I don't even know if it's the same time as me, but all I can say is I feel horrible. He's my best friend. I have nothing but love for him.

But those words.

''what? Apart from the fact that my sister has a humongous crush on you and says your name in her sleep?''

What the hell? I bet Jane was just joking, playing tricks on my hard, sad heart. I don't know what to do! 'Joy please show me something to believe what I've heard.'

Ugh

Now I'm talking to myself? I stop the car, get out and sit on the park bench. I just sit there and think. Not about Joy but I think about the fact that I'm 18. I'm 18, and I've never done anything that's exciting or spontaneous. Except school. Duh. I've never kissed a girl. Never been on a date. Never even been out of the states, except South Korea. But that only cause I was born there. But the moment we were born, Tae's family, along with mine, moved here. I don't even remember what it felt like to be honest. What is Korea like? Damn that, I've never even learnt a language apart from Korean and English. I've never even ridden a horse before. What have I been doing with my life? All this time, oh my gosh. I've never even been to a club before. My life is empty, and so damn uninteresting.my phone buzzes, binging me back to my senses. It's Tae. Oh god, no.

''hey'', I say into the phone.

''hey, you don't look so good'', he says in his usual happy voice.

''how do you know? You can't even see Me.'', I say. Damn, I even sound horrible. I'm so depressing.

''how do you know I can't see you?'', he says, and I can hear his voice behind me. I turn around. He's very much there. I try my best to smile.

''hey Taehyung''

''hey, you okay?''

''nope. Not even a bit.'', and out comes the bitter truth.

''thought so'', and with that, he sits down beside me on this now fully depressing park bench with a useless park Jimin on it.

''I saw your car at Joy's place and I thought you'd grab a seat at the nearest park, and I guess I was right'', he says turning to me.

''of course you were'', I say still looking ahead.

''so joy huh'', he asks. With that smirk playing on his lips.

''oh wait! I thought you didn't know her!''

''what do you mean jimin?'', he asks. I can see it, he's confused. He's not supposed to be.

''you sure as hell acted like you didn't know her on the bus'', I say and I can sense the pure irritation coming through with the words.

''um probably cause I didn't see her bruh'', he says still confused.

''yeah you did'', I say still not turning to face him.

''no I didn't''

''you fucking winked at her!'', I say losing it.

''Park Jimin! I did not fucking see her on the bus but I did see her friend and yeah I winked at her. Joy's friends are pretty hot'', he says sitting straight and looking at me.

''oh shit! Im sorry Tae'', it had never occurred to me.

''okay, what's wrong Jimin?'', he asks looking concerned.

''you've never acted like this before and I think its best you tell me what happened'', he says, putting his hand on my shoulder.

''I think I love her Tae'', I say looking down.

''in one day? You love her?'', he asks while looking at me like I'm crazy.

''no! of course not! I think I've loved her for 4 years, ever since she joined. She's just been this angelic person. Who of course, I've never talked to until today. But I'm sure now. I love her Tae.'', I say "and I don't fucking know what to do'', and that's enough for me to break down. A single tear rolls down my cheek. I let it fall. I can't stop it now. I put my face in my hands and close my eyes. Tae can't help it. He reaches out and puts his arms around me.

''you wait Jimin'', he says, ''you wait, be yourself. And she'll come. Trust me'', he says.

TAEHYUNG

Oh no, not Jimin.

Out of all the people who would fall for Joy, it had to be my best friend. What will he do if he finds out about me?

God. Save me. Oh wait! You already spoilt my life. So don't even try to help, I think I'll work this on my own.

''I wanna do something'', he says. Lifting up his face.

''what do you mean?'', I ask.

''I wanna do something with my boring life'', he says looking at me.

''okay, let's go home and call the rest of the boys over. We'll do something alright/ it'll be the night of your life'', I say. My hands on his shoulder. I'm not letting go of him, but I am letting go of her.
