I'm a man about town, I've been around, been out west and upside down
I can tell you something but don't tell Bill, I'm in love with that long tall girl
I saw her last night at the big barn dance, got up my courage and took a chance
She said, yes and we took a twirl, and I fell in love with that long tall girl
She's the kinda girl can make you happy, make you happy, and that means a lot
She's the kinda girl you'd like to marry, but that's kinda scary, so maybe not
I asked her height and she said six-two, she said I was short but guessed I'd do
We danced and danced till the band went home and she searched my soul with a fine-tooth comb
With that pretty nose and piercing eyes, those handsome knees and longish thighs
Every time I see her my heart stands still, but she used to date my best friend, Bill
She's the kinda girl can make you crazy, upsy daisy, she's kinda hot
She's the kinda girl you'd like to marry, but that's kinda scary, so maybe not
She's long and tall with a good strong kick and a smile so sweet it'll make you sick
With love, that is, don't get me wrong, or what's the point of this whole damn song?
I'm a man about town, I've been around, been out west and upside down
I can tell you something, but don't tell Bill, I'm in love with that long tall girl
