"Huh...hey, Nova?" Kirby said as he turned his head and looked at Nova, his own male best friend and one of Vale's local traps, who looked back with a confused look on his face."Yeah?" Nova asked, tilting his head while taking a sip off of his soda. They were in the Great Pug having their lunch break, with the rest of the group going on their own crazy shenanigans in other parts of the place.
"Ever get the feeling that you're being watched?" Kirby asked as he nervously looked around.
Granted, this was a quite strange question from the normally happy guy who constantly get into crazy situations, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he had thousands of eyes directed on him. For Kirby, he knew the feeling well, but this time was different. He usually felt people staring at him, followed up by either laughter or trying to kill him. But this time, felt different.
Still confused, Nova scratched his cheek, puzzled. "Uh, I don't know? What'd you do recently to get that feeling?"
"Well, I managed to finally repair the mech seat, so thank VRPill for that!" Kirby exclaimed, rolling his eyes in annoyance. "Other than that, that's all I could think of."
"Well, maybe it has to do with that job you took?" Nova responded as he pondered in thought. "You did say that was how you got all that money. By the way, you never did tell me what that job was."
Kirby stopped short at that reply, suddenly feeling the urge to crawl inside a hole and stay there for the rest of his life. "Uh...about that." He replied, feeling a fluster of embarassment come over his face recalling what happened a week ago.
One Week Ago...Blueberry Mermaid and Crystal Dragon OTP, btw...
Kirby walked through the streets, irritated as he counted all of the cash in his wallet and sighed. "So close!" He sulked despondently.
Thanks to one of his crew's own shenanigans when he was trying out his mech, the seat in his robot got teared up once again! What's worse is that this time, he doesn't have enough funds to repair it this time!
He sighed sadly again before he stopped when something caught his eye and started to read it out.
"Wanted: Hey You..Yeah, You! You ever wanted an opportunity to appear in Vale Realtá's Men's Fashion magazine? Well, look no further because we are now open to applicants for today. Monetary compensation is based on peak applicant participation up to- holy shit- a thousand dollars?!" Kirby exclaimed, weirding out a few people around him yet he didn't take notice.
That was enough cash to repair the mech's seat!
Kirby then looked at the poster's contact number and dialled it on his phone. After getting directions off the person at the other end of the phone, Kirby then arrived at what looked like a small theatre. He took in a breath and entered.
Inside was a completely white lobby, where Kirby was greeted by a very perky secretary with very big...eyes. Kirby actually had to pinch himself in the ribs to keep himself from staring indecentlt as she explained some of the things expected of him while giving him some forms to sign, of which he did without really reading them.
Kirby was then escorted to the top floor which buzzed with activity. At the center of the situation was a regal and handsome man with light skin, long spiky waist-length black hair, and sharp blue eyes over a sharp angular face with high cheekbones. He wore a dark red dress shirt with black gloves on his hands while below he wore a pair of black dress slacks and a fine pair of black loafers.
The man saw Kirby and walked over, greeting him with a smile on his face. "Ah! You must be the new applicant looking to become pre-a model for the business!" The man said while raising his hand for a handshake, which Kirby followed and reciprocated.
