Another day, another pain-in-the-butt uncle to put up with.

When will this man ever rest? All he does all day is plan out his 'next big move.' At least, that's what he calls it... He's getting nowhere with his business, he should just face the facts. But no, he's so stubborn minded, he won't listen to me.

20 Year old Ben Solo was frustrated with his uncle, to say the least.

When he was only seven years old, his parents died in a building fire. At the time, he was visiting his uncle. He wasn't informed of the incident until a week after the event. It left him devastated, he was never the same since. It was then decided that he was to live with his uncle, that's what his relatives thought would be best. Was it really the best decision? Ben didn't think so.

He assisted his uncle, Luke Skywalker, in his business. Luke strived to create the best entertainment (whatever that would be, he didn't quite know yet) the world has ever seen. There was only one small problem at the moment, he didn't have a building to create anything in. Day after day, he had Ben run errands in return for some allowance money.

Luke was a lonely man after his wife passed away nearly ten years ago due to an unknown illness. Ben thought the loneliness really paid a toll on the man, he was constantly grumpy. As a child, Ben remembered him as a fun and happy man, always optimistic. It seems as if he was now the opposite.

"Dang... I'm late," Ben muttered to himself. Ben's attire contained a white shirt, dark blue waistcoat, black pants, and black boots. He preferred simple clothing. Currently, he was carrying some supplies in a sack that he carried over his shoulder.  He finally arrived at a gate and beyond it was a large mansion. Ben always wondered why a single man would desire a whole estate. After unlatching and pushing the gate open, he walked up the long pathway to the building.

The building itself was painted a dull yellow and contained many, many, windows. Most of which were kept shut with curtains. Ben did enjoy the many luxuries that could be enjoyed when you lived with someone who had a lot of money, but sometimes it felt so suffocating. He also enjoyed the outdoors whenever he wasn't doing tedious jobs for his uncle. Luke and Ben were both invited to parties and plays quite often. More often than Ben would've liked. The people were just so... high of themselves. They spoke as if the 'other residents' of New York were nobodies.

He entered the mansion. The foyer was decently large, containing a tall staircase in the center that led up to the second floor.

Out of the corner of his eye, Ben could see a maid entering the foyer from the kitchen. She soon approached him. "Your uncle requested to see you, he says it's urgent," she said.

"Alright," he replied with a sigh.

Ben knew Luke would expect to see him immediately after he arrived back at the mansion, so there was no point in grabbing a bite to eat prior to seeing him. Better to save himself another lecture. He soon made his way up the staircase. After carrying the sack for so long, it felt heavier than it did before.

He soon stood in front of the door to his uncle's office. He took a deep breath and went inside.

"Here's the supplies you wanted-" he began, putting the sack down on the floor.

"Benjamin," Luke cut him off, "what was the delay this time?" He held a pocket watch in his hand. Ben rolled his eyes at hearing his full name, he hoped his uncle wouldn't notice.

Luke wore a tidy black suit, his hair was kept neat and his facial hair was kept well trimmed.

"The shopkeeper was very busy today," Ben sat down on a nearby chair before asking, "what was the urgent thing you needed to see me about?"

"I've found the perfect building to use," he replied.

"Which building...?" Ben felt suspicious.

"Barnum's Circus."
