"What did you say you were going to do, honey?" Ryan chuckled. I wisely chose to ignore him to stare at the boy in front of me.

Blake raised a hand and Ryan reached over to hi-five, laughing.

I was lost. Isn't this the boy who punched my brother yesterday?

Blake looked back at me. "Hey, I'm Blake Ashton. Nice to meet you." I looked down at his extended hand. He seriously thought that acting nice would cajole me into accepting him. What an ass.

Reluctantly, I took it. Shaking while staring at him with narrowed eyes, full of suspicion.

Something is wrong here. The equation is not equal on both sides...

He moved his lips to sound out a question I expected him to ask. After all, he was a boy and I was a pretty girl.

"Can I be a gentleman and drop you to school today?"

My lips were pursed as I filed through all the possibilities in my mind.

In my peripheral vision, I saw Ryan slowly sneaking away and taking his black cycle that stood like a devil next to my white angelic one. Ryan rode away before stopping in front of the gate to whip his head around to give a clandestine wink.

Something was really wrong.

The person who hit my brother's face not 24 hours ago just turned up in front of our house and he is all unfazed and showing brotherly affection towards the biggest badboy in the neighbourhood.

Just like me, I decided to enquire about that later because I was complacent with the prevailing peace and didn't want to tamper with it.

My eyes flicked over to the posh red Camaro parked on the left side of the gate. It looked like a billion suns with that colour.

I sighed. I didn't feel anything towards Balk even though he was an amazing kisser. Physically he was great but inside, he is a beast. The perfect kind of boy for people like Jenny. My eyes don't lie for I saw the same arms in front of me straggle a boy, steal a phone, smother a pretty girl's dress with coloured vinegar and threaten a kid to suicide. It's not only him. It's the others too. Edward, Theo, Tyler and sometimes this lost girl who I doubt has a family and education, Ri.

I considered myself as sensible so I walked past him, the rich smell of his cologne taking over my unstable senses. I forced myself not cringe as I approached my cycle and flung my right leg over the seat, "No, thank you. I have my own ride."

As I wondered if that came out too spiteful, Blake turned to me and did a full pout, not covering the sparkle of amusement shone in his eyes. "I wast looking f'rward to having the honour of helping a quite quaint mistress liketh thee."

I let out a small laugh, the exact same action I perform when somebody gives me a compliment, "Being Shakespeare much?"

Again pondering if that came out too harsh, I started moving down the driveway when Blake quietly jogged past me and opened the door to his car. "Giving up so fast?" I stopped and shouted. As a reply and to my annoyance, he tucked in his lower lip and shrugged before he ducked into the driver's seat.

Strange kid.

He turned on the ignition and stared at me through the crystal clear windshield.

I was now in front of his car as I turned to look at the path to the school in front of me, feeling Blake's stare burning holes on my back. I sat there for two seconds, confused and deciding whether to let him go first. I decided for it.
