Part One

"Bye mum" Zach shouted before shutting the door while he was leaving for school. He hates school, I mean who doesn't? Or maybe it's just because he isn't the most popular at school. Nobody talks to him. The poor lad.

Zach Herron wasn't your normal  high school boy. Nobody talked to him, in most classes he just sinks into his chair, in the back of the class. He doesn't make friends very easily so he decides not to put effort into trying to connect with people.

People normally avoid him because of his sexuality. His best friend from middle school, Chris found out and when they went to high school together they parted ways and Chris told the high school bully. Who then told everyone else.

So here he was. On his way to school, on a Friday, already regretting it. He put his earphones in and put on some music and they walk went by really quick and soon he was stood outside the school main entrance.

Keeping his head down, he pushed straights through and walked toward his locker with his head hung low.

Putting in the code to his locker, he pulled out his note book and shoved his backpack in. Before he got the chance to grip the door, in order to close it, a familiar hand pushes it shut and corners him.

"Hey Herron." Jace spoke harshly.
"What now?" The frustrated teen questioned. "Loose the attitude or I'll slap it out of you!" Jace said just over a whisper.

By now about fifteen people were stood watching. Zach didn't dare reply incase he said the wrong thing. "Cat got your tongue?" He shoved Zach and he stumble over his feet and fell flat on his ass. "No, now leave. I don't want you here pestering me!" He shouted in embarrassment.

"Jace! My office, NOW!" Mr Barnes yelled, interrupting the issue that was being 'solved.' Jace turned around and push through the people and followed the principle to his office,Zach got up and dusted himself off and the crowd cleared.

He grabbed his bag which was dropped. The boy looked up and saw that a boy, that looked about his age. He new the lad from a few of his classes. He had chocolate brown hair with eyes, eyes that looked almost black.

His name, Jack. Jack Avery. His not very nice towards Zachary, they started off on a bad foot. They went to middle school together so Jack always knew the teen was gay. And Zach always found himself staring at him, every chance he got.
Flash back

Zach was sat in the cafeteria, with his only friend, Daniel, as usual. He didn't care about his surrounding it was just him sat at his own table. He turned to Daniel and whispered "Hey, Daniel. Who is that kid over there with the curly hair?"

"Jack Avery, why?" Daniel asked the young boy.
"He's cute." He stated without thinking. Daniel didn't know he was gay so obviously this took him by surprise. "You, you um like boys?" Daniel looked at Zach with uneasy eyes. "Oh. Um yeah aha." Then the bell went, stopping daniel from replying and after that daniel never sat with Zach again. He was clearly homophobic.

A few days later, Jack confronted Zach about what he said to Daniel. Infront of nearly the whole school. He felt so humiliated. He cried and ran off to the toilets. They never spoke again to be honest like. Never.
