Chapter 5

"Your father" he started again, "Was like a god"

We both gasped. I have never heard this before, and I'm sure Bone hasn't either. But I'm sure he is just bluffing. Right? " What do you mean?" Bone asked I'm surprised she even spoke, I couldn't get words out even if I tried my hardest.

" I know you two have a lot of questions, and you know about your fathers legacy, but what you don't know is what he was." Reaper spoke. I'm sure Reaper would tell us the story, but, if our father wasn't who we thought he was. Then who is he?!

" You see, when your father became a warrior, Its said that he was the best out of everyone. Its said when shadow pack attacked, your father fought eight wolves by himself, and was the only one to come out alive, without even a scratch on him. Your father brought up death packs name to the fear level, he..." Reaper stopped, what had happened that day that made Reaper so afraid? He looked at our faces and decided to continue, " Its said that he created the blood moon" Reaper looked down, scared. I don't get it, what is so scary about the blood moon that made Reaper, the alpha , so scared? My question was answered right after that thought, "The blood moon is said to give him extraordinary power. Enough to defeat a giant pack in one blow,"

A thought had crossed my mind, if our father had that kind of power, it must flow in the bloodline so that must mean that we could have this power as well. If so that would be awesome! It seems that Bone had the same thought.

" If our father has this power, does that mean we have it to?" Bone said, I nodded my head in agreement. We are his successors, so we should have this power too, shouldn't we?

"Honestly, I don't know" Reaper stated, this time looking less scared, " If feathers prophecy is true then you should," Reaper said.

" So your saying we could be the two most powerful wolves ever?!"  I questioned excited. To be honest I really like power, you could say I'm power hungry. Bone likes it too but not as much as I do though.

"Well, sure!" Reaper answered. Yes! With that kind of power who knows what we could do! I still had a lot of questions though, before Bone or I could ask anymore questions Reaper dismissed us. We got up, said thanks, and left. I at least hope he doesn't remember that he was going to give us a punishment. 

As soon as we left I realized something wasn't right, Reaper was hiding something, he didn't tell us the whole truth. He acted rushed and his tone of voice, and body language when he was talking, something just didn't quite add up. We were half way to our den when Bone must have noticed my puzzled expression, but before she could ask anything, I blurted out, "Somethings off, its like Reaper was still hiding something!" Bone thought for a couple of seconds before realization had hit her, after that her expression had changed completely, as well as her body language. Whatever Reaper was hiding, we were going to find out!
