When a person is used just as a subsitute for others, the hurt one feels is that of betrayal.
To be used and then thrown aside like trash whenever the other pleases.... Self-respect gets trampled upon, confidence shattered and trust broken.
Depression seeps into the crevices and cracks formed by those who call themselves your friends.
Loneliness becomes a familiar face. Even when surrounded by friends, one can only think of when the time will come for them to dump you.
Being on the outside, one learns the rules of survival:
Never place your trust in anyone so easily. The good will come associated with the bad. Where there are secrets, there'll always be lies. A smile on the outside might be a grimace within.
Always, always be ready to move on...
