1 (entrance exam)

i was stuck in an dark abyss unable to move listening to screams of torture, my five year old body in a trembling state i had then heard my name being being called in these screams.i had jerked my head quickly towards the noise only for me to witness my surroundings, shocked to see a hallway painted in a scarlet red from roof to floor. another aogatising scream filled the air snapping my mind of the trance in was trapped in, i had started moving my slightly chubby legs toward the center of these screams. once i arrived i couldn't believe my eyes, i had come to find my mother sprawled out on the floor scarlet red painted on and all around her. i had rushed up to her as fast as i could with little legs, i hung on her and start sobbing loudly not minding the red i hear my mum tell me to run away. i looked at my mum like she's crazy and said "it's ok mummy we'll be ok, i don't want to leave you" my mother looks at me and says in a gentle but harsh tone " you will leave and live a life, go be a hero!" i look at her with shock but she continues to speak "b-but but luna, you can't be a hero all the time! like now, YOUR FIVE! L-LEAVE L-LUNA-a!". she finshes with her eyes filled to the brim with tears falling at a shocking rate. i then again looked at my mother sadly with eyes filled with gloss, i could tell she was dying, leaving me.i reached out to her, and hugged her to feel her comforting touch and see her loving smile. it all happened in a second all i did was blink my eyes, she felt limp and she was cold so very cold. i had then glanced at her face only to see blank sad eyes and a tear soaked cheeks not a smile to be found on your lips.i could slowly feel my heart breaking, my world falling apart at the stem. the last thing i remember from the day was a misty projection of my mother helping me run away from the horrid house.

luna's p.o.v august 17th 20EB

i was woken up from the alarm i had set the night before, and me in a hot mess of sweat and tears. i had reached out to get my phone off of the floor to turn the alarm off that was bothering me after successfully turning the alarm off i just sat there rethinking about the life i had lived last year, i had been in a middle school in the area of my apartment and i had never got to know anyone like always i just stayed by mom and yugi and got good grades i was the loner in the back but this year it was gonna change if i can get in u.a i might get a chance to fufill mum's wishes and become a hero, i always wanted to! i might get to know some people there too,it'll be great!

i stood and smiled "i will be a hero, not for me but for mom too!"i looked down and picked my phone up it was 5:30am, i should go get in the shower i'm going to have a big day ahead of me i thought to myself.

(~time skip, after the shower~)

once in i'm back in my room i put on my school uniform and grab my backpack and shove an old pair of clothes in knowing they will rip, they were grey shorts and maroon shirt. i walked out to my small kitchen with my bag greeting yugi and mom and then i grabbed four eggo waffles and put them in the toaster two at a time then i rushed out. ( her scales where out along with her claws for her feet so luna didn't need shoes on )After running for 40 minutes with breaks of course i made it to my dream school with yugi and mom for the entrance exams i was going to take to get in, once i made my way into the stadium i found my seat which was next to a voilet haired kid with glasses. i sat down in the seat with and turned my head towards him and said "h-hi i'm luna, i wish you the best of luck out there." the male turned to face me and he replied with "i'm tenya Iida, and i also wish you the best of luck." i smiled at him and turned my head to see mom exploring the stadium and yugi on my lap i looked down at him and smiled, i had then heard a man starting a speech making me look up.
