The blessings of Allah

Dear unmarried brothers and sisters,

There is something i really want to talk about for a long time. but God willing here i am writing it.

When it comes to the issue of choosing a spouse, we Made alot of du'a,like Oh Allah bless me with a righteous spouse, Some one who will guide me to paradise, someone you loved the most, who will be the coolness of my eyes. e.t.c

Ya akhi/ Ukhti, did u know that the blessings of Allah comes in different ways! Allah ta'ala may actually answered your every single prayer but you may be blind and doesn't know about it. You know why? Because After praying to Allah about a spouse with such and such quality you fold your prayer Mat and continue living your fantasy, dreaming about fairy tails. What you said in your prayer is so different from what you actually want. That same person you prayed for May cross your path but because you are busy searching for beauty and elegance you May never notice and if you are lucky to married that one from your dreams and something went wrong you will be like but i prayed before i make the decision not knowing that you were selfish when you did that and Allah knows your heart and gave you what you want.

Why not just ask Allah what you wanted, instead of been a hypocrite and saying Rabbi innee bima anzaltu ilayyah min khairin faqeer.(Oh Allah what ever you bestowed upon me in goodness i am indeed in need of it). Do you know that you can pour all your heart out to Allah, there's no barrier between you and him. Instead of telling your friends the qualities you want in a spouse tell your Rab. We are humans Allah created us with desires,Hopes and fantasy. And if you are lucky you May get Almost all the qualities in one portrait, but i most say nobody is perfect so don't expect perfection.

So the next time you will pray don't just say "Rabbi innee bima anzaltu Ilayyah min khairin faqir." add more on it, list all the qualities you want to have in you spouse, Allah is As samee. And if he gave you something instead, accept it and be grateful, you May never know it will be your reason to enter paradise.

Assalamu Alaikum
