Why? •Jikook•

Part one

"Why're you avoiding me?"

"I'm not avoiding you"

"Yes you are, every time I try to talk to you, you walk away"

"I don't know what you're talking about hyung, I'm not avoiding you"

"Is this because of what I said? I knew it was too early" Jungkooks eyes widened as the words left Jimins mouth

"Yes, I mean no! I mean, I- I don't know. I'm sorry" Jungkook put his head down in shame

Jimins heart ached

"I'm sorry, I should've known that you weren't ready. It- it just slipped out I guess"

Jimin intertwined their hands and gave Jungkook a small smile

"Can we go back to normal please? It feels like I'm in a one sided relationship" at this Jungkook felt guilty for neglecting his significant other. 

One month later

Jimin and Jungkook were arguing about god knows what, none of the other members knew. All they knew was that the couple had been getting into a lot more arguments lately.

Jimin was seated on the couch with his head in his hands whilst Jungkook was standing on the other side of the room with his arms folded.

"What happened to us?"  Jimin wondered

He suddenly stood up, his eyes red from tears.

"Why're you with me?" Jungkook was taken aback from the question

"What?"

"You heard me, why're you with me? All we do is argue now, we don't spend much time with each other anymore, we've been together for almost one year and the signs are clear that this love is one sided" Jimins voice raising at every reason

A tear escaped Jungkooks eye, he quickly wiped it away hoping Jimin didn't see but he did.

The two stayed silent just looking in each other's eyes.

"Maybe we should break up" Jimin whispered

Jungkook could feel his heart breaking upon hearing those dreaded words

He went up to Jimin and engulfed him in a hug

"No, no we can't give up on each other. I won't. I can't lose you" Jungkook sobbed into Jimins shoulder, both shoulders becoming drenched with each other's tears.

"What's the point kookie? I love you, I really do but I don't think I can handle a one sided relationship any longer" Jimin tried to push Jungkook away but the younger just held onto him tighter

"No" was all that escaped Jungkooks mouth

"Give me one good reason as to why we shouldn't break up" Jimin finally being able to push Jungkook away

"Because"

They looked into each other's eyes

He was ready

"Because I love you" Jungkook whispered

Jimin couldn't believe his ears

"You're not just saying that are you?" He asked unsure

Jungkook quickly shook his head no

"No, I mean it hyung. I love you. I always have, I guess I was just... scared. But I'm not anymore. I love you Park Jimin" Jungkook finished his sentence with confidence.

Jimin didn't hesitate to crash his lips onto Jungkooks.

Their lips slowly moving in sync, a kiss filled with nothing but love.

Jimins hands rested on Jungkooks cheeks as Jungkook pulled the shorter closer by wrapping his arms around his waist.

They broke apart both gasping for air.

Jimin looked up at Jungkook

They smiled at each other

"I love you"

"I love you too, hyung"
