I wake up in the middle of a weird bright room lying on the ground, with my chest feeling like fire and my head aching. I slowly try to push myself up so I can find out exactly where I am and how I got here, but then I looked down and gasped my whole stomach was covered in dried blood, and when I touched my head I could feel a large gash going all the way from the top of my head to my temple. I almost passed out in shock but quickly I calmed myself down. Four questions were going through my head right now.
1.How did I get so beat up?
2.How did I get here?
3.Where exactly is here?
4.How am I not dead?
But before I could even wrap my head around those questions, I heard a silent clack...clack. And I looked around to see who it was, and standing before me was a gorgeous young women with flowing blonde hair, and bright green eyes, wearing all white. I was about to ask her one of my many questions but she put her finger up to silence me before I even started talking.
"I know you probably got a million questions you want to ask miss Claire,but you and I haven't much time so ill give you the jest of what happened, and what's gonna happen starting now. You were murdered by a begger asking for change and because you were nice and felt pity for him you gave him a couple of coins, but before you left he grabbed your arms and stabbed you right there on the street." She paused for a minute and looked at me like she wondered why I wasn't shocked, but quickly started again.
"Even though you died we meaning the Relivers or Stoppers need you for your help, we need you because you have all the traits of one of us strength,courage, and most of all kindness. These traits will help you in your work to save life's, but in doing so taking or risking your own in the process. In this job if you want to take it, you will be transferred back to the real world with the same personality and mind but in a different body and person that you will be to help the person you are assigned to. The person we assign you will always be a person that's in danger from getting killed by the Forcers who take the energy from the ones they kill. Know with this in mind will you take the job to help an innocent or if you think you not up for it you can die and go to the Resting place where you will live eternally in bliss and happiness forever?" I hesitate for a minute figuring out my answer, either live in eternal bliss or eternal pain and danger. But I knew the answer was right in front of me, I can't be a coward and selfish I thought I need to be brave and save people from what happened for me.
I look at the women and look her straight in the eye with surety in my eyes. "Yes," I say strongly"I will."
