It's a Friday morning and the losers are at school, sadly.

Eddie's POV
I could feel my head pounding as I heard my alarm clock ringing in my ears, so I quickly press the button on my phone to turn it off and sit up definitely not ready to go to school. I get up and head straight to the shower, might I add I shower every single morning before school.

After showering I pick out my outfit. (A simple red t-shirt and some navy jeans along with plain black and white vans) Then I brush my teeth, wash my face, do my hair and head out the door. Everyday morning routine.

Richie's POV
I'm on my way to school, walking to Eddie's house, I do every morning so that we can walk together. I arrive after a few short minutes seeing him sitting on his porch staring down at his feet. "Hey Eds." I look at him waiting for him to notice I'm here. He looks up and smiles before standing up and walking to me. "Hey." He replies as we start walking in the direction of the school.

Eddie's POV
I love how close Richie lives to me, he's been my best friend since kindergarten so he's the easiest to talk to out of the whole group.
"So are you actually coming to class today?" I ask thinking he probably won't, but to my surprise I'm wrong. "Yea, sadly." He replies. I was kind of confused. "Why, if you don't want to? That doesn't sound like you." He looks down at his feet hesitating to speak. I could tell he didn't want to tell me.

Richie's POV
I knew that if I told Eddie the real reason, him being a good friend, he would get worried and possibly tell all the losers. "My dad finally caught me." I laughed nervously before looking at him as he spoke. "It's about time." He giggled. I loved his laugh, I was actually kind of jealous of it, I've always found my laugh weird.

Soon enough we both arrived at school heading toward the table our friends sat at. "Hey guys." I sat down next to Stan, who was sitting next to Bill, who was sitting next to Bev, who was sitting next to Ben, who was sitting next to Mike. And of course, Eddie sat by me. Being a big group of friends we took up all the seats at the table. "Hey you two." Beverly smiled at both me and Eddie before Stan decided to speak. "I was thinking we could go to the quarry after school today." He suggested. I was actually down to go. "I have lots of homework, maybe tomorrow." Until Eddie said that, and now I didn't really want to go. Don't get me wrong I love my friends but without Eddie there it gets kind of lame, everyone else gets annoyed easily and slowly makes their way away from me. But Eds can handle me and my big mouth, he was different.

Eddie's POV
I wanted to go, but I found homework more important. "Yea me too, lots of homework." Richie's eyes widened as he spoke and laughed. I knew he wouldn't do his homework to save his life. "You never do homework." I replied. He looked over at me and stuttered trying to explain. "I- yes I do, you just never see me do it." I was about to speak until the bell interrupted me.

Me, Bev, and Rich have the same first period so we all walk together while the other separate and head to their classes. "Your actually coming to class?" Beverly asked Richie.
"Yup, actually going to class today." He replied. I wanted to know why he was so hesitant to tell me the reason. "And for the rest of the school year." He sighed finishing his sentence. I rolled my eyes. "It's only a few weeks your fine." I told him as we all walked into the classroom heading to our assigned seats. I sat on the other side of the classroom from Richie and Beverly, they sat right next to each other.

Richie's POV
I sat down at my seat as the teacher walked up to my desk. "Mr. Tozier, it's about time." I looked up at her as she smacked a pile of papers on my desk. "Maybe a little too soon, I'll come back later." I stared at the papers trying to get up and leave, but she wouldn't let me and pushed my shoulder back down into my seat. "I don't think so." She said walking to her desk. I looked over to find Beverly snickering. I scoff." Like I'm actually gonna do any of this." I look at the pile of homework once more before saying "This is a waste of paper Ms. Mann." She stood up ignoring me and started teaching the class. I took out a notebook, not to take notes but to doodle.

I doodle for most of the class and glance at Eddie who is taking notes. I had a good idea, I decided to erase the doodles I drew and start drawing Eddie. Don't ask why.

Eddie's POV
I noticed Richie looking at me every ten seconds, but I didn't want to make it obvious I knew so I didn't look at him. I was wondering what he was doing, I'm curious! Now I'm not focused on my notes, I'm behind! Shit! I try to catch up, and I finally had the chance to when the teacher stopped teaching and walks over to Richie's desk. "Tozier, where are your notes?" She asks him, and now I'm definitely not taking notes. I'm too curious! "Uh- right here."
He points to his paper nervously. "That's a picture, not math." She replies with a smug look. He then replies with "Yea, don't worry about it." Richie laughs nervously and looks around with rosy cheeks, he never gets embarrassed he clearly has a crush. The teacher raises an eyebrow at him and then goes back to teaching. He's always just used girls. He makes them think he loves them, goes out with them, has sex with them, and then dumps them. That's just the way he is and if he finally has a crush, someone he likes, it's gonna be hard for him to get her to believe.

The bell rings after a little bit as a neatly put my stuff into my back pack standing up and throwing it onto my back.

Richie's POV
The bell rings and I shove the papers into my backpack and walk toward Eddie who is waiting for me. I fold the drawing up and put in my back pocket. "So, I was thinking I could come over today since I'm not going to the Quarry." I tell him as we walk out of the classroom. "To do homework, I can help you." He replies as I groan. "Homework? I don't wanna." I already know I'm never gonna graduate high school, and I'm not bothered by it. I'll just drop out when everybody else graduates. "Yes homework." He replies sternly. I reply with "Fine, I'll see you after school." We separate.
