the new couple spites one heart

Taehyung strode up to the front of the desk and waited dutifully for his teacher. Yoongi would be here any moment to collect him, and they were going to get ice cream.

Taehyung was excited.

He had never gotten ice cream before with Yoongi, or anyone. He wasn't a big ice cream fan, but since Yoongi insisted on taking him somewhere special for his birthday, Taehyung couldn't resist.

The whole class seemed to be happy about the new arrangement. Both of them were adults, and both loved each other, so it was a simple decision. However, one person was left singed at the displays of affection between the two.

"Jimin, what's wrong?" Jungkook lay a hand on his shoulder, spotting the embers in his friend's eyes. Jimin's eyes didn't leave Taehyung.

"Isn't he waiting too eagerly?" Jimin muttered, eying him. "Why doesn't he come talk to us?"

Jungkook looked between the two and sniggered. He laughed out loud when Jimin saw Yoongi embrace Taehyung.

"Getting jealous are we?"

Jimin didn't respond. He was watching. Jungkook sighed.

"Listen, this is their relationship. I know you miss Taehyung already, but just let them have their space."

Jimin looked up into Jungkook's eyes, full of apprehension.

"I'm not intruding! I'm just saying, Taehyung looks like a dog waiting to be petted.. or a cat being stoked by its owner."

Jungkook narrowed his eyes. "Owner?"

Jimin flushed bright red. He quickly shoved his books in his bag and threw himself out of his seat. Before Jungkook could ask him any further questions, Jimin had already sprinted off, banging into a few doors in the process.

"Hmm.." Jungkook smiled to himself, eying the new couple heading in the same direction.
