The Hunter And The Rider

Chapter 1

Viggo's POV

  While I was trying to defend the Skrill behind me, I was becoming weaker and weaker by the minute. I finally found an exit out of the cave system and collapsed on the ground. The Skrill blasted a huge streak of lightning and then I saw a Night Fury land in front of me. Someone picked me off the ground and I saw a woman around Hiccup's age help me on to her Night Fury. We flew off and the Skrill flew right behind us. She was wearing a hood with a mask on and had long dark brown hair, the exact color of mine.

  She had a sword and bow along with some arrows. She had golden jacket on with shoulder cuffs on both shoulders without spikes on them. I noticed that she had the outfit as me on but her skirt was going to one side and then an island came into view. We landed on the island and she took me upstairs in a hut. She put me on my stomach on a bed and took out some medical supplies. She put a rag in a bucket of water and came back over to me carrying the bucket. She pulled out one of the arrows in my back and took the rag out of the bucket of water.

  She put the rag on the spot where she pulled out the arrow and did it with all the arrow spots. It didn't hurt because the rag helped and then she dried the spots after two minutes. She bandaged me up and sat me against the bed's headrest. She fixed together something and told me to drink it. I drank it and it tasted bitter. I swallowed it and felt the pain in my back go away. I sighed and looked at the girl who eyes were fixed in happiness and something unreadable, I think it was love.

  If it was love then why would she love someone like me, I mean that I was a hunter and she is a rider. She took her hood and mask off and my eyes widened in shock at who she was. It was my daughter and she hugged me. I hugged her back and felt my heart warm up because she was still alive. When she let me go from her hug, she sat on the bed and said, "Next time don't try and get yourself killed dad. I love you and I don't want to see you dead."

  I nodded and kissed her forehead. She got up and walked downstairs. I fell asleep and when I woke up, I heard her scream. I got up and grabbed my sword that was up against the wall. I went downstairs and outside to see a Changewing dragon ready to blast her.

  I lit my sword up and move away from the hut. I moved it in a hypnotic Way and the Changewing came towards me. I touched the Changewing's snout and the Changewing flew away. I put my sword out and dropped it on the ground. I ran towards her and hugged her. She hugged me back and when I let her go from my hug, a Night Fury landed behind me.

  She ran to the Night Fury and hugged the dragon. Then the dragon riders landed behind me and I grabbed Tera. We ran into the forest with her dragon close behind and I became out of breath. I stopped running and Tera stopped too. She supported me from falling and we found a river. We sat down by the river and the riders found us. Tera's Night Fury walked to the river and drank some water from the river. Tera hugged me and I hugged her back. The riders landed in front of us and Tera was shaking as if she was scared of them or scared of losing me again.

  I held her close to me and the riders took her away from me. She wanted to be free and they put her down. She ran to me and hugged me after I stood up. She was scared of them and I knew it because she was shaking uncontrollably. I hugged her back and whispered in her ear "It's okay, I won't let them hurt you and you will okay. I will be okay too, so there is nothing to be afraid of, I promise My Little Dragon."

Tera's POV

  When I heard my dad whisper that in my ear, I hugged him a little bit tighter and was scared. "It's okay Tera, I promise I'll protect you from the riders," I heard my dad whisper in my ear. "What do you want with us?" my dad asked them. "Why are you protecting her Viggo?" one of the riders asked. "She is my daughter and I love her. You really don't even understand how much I've missed her and her cheery personality," my dad said. They gasped and their leader asked "That's why you were so ruthless because you learned it the hard way, isn't it?" He nodded and I felt him let me go. I didn't let him go from him and he patted my head.

  I held onto him and felt Luna nuzzle my leg trying to get me to let my dad go. "It's okay Tera, they not going to hurt you," my dad said for me only to hear. I let him go and looked at the riders. They got off their dragons and came towards us. I hid behind my dad and he told me "Tera, they are nice and will respect you. I will make sure of it, don't you worry My Little Dragon, don't you worry."
