Ha-Jin quietly gets up and wipes the tears from her eyes.  After saying sorry for leaving her love behind and alone, she sadly exits the building and heads home.  While driving home, her friend  called to see how she was doing.

"Ha-jin, are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm okay...I just need to rest."

"Ha-jin, you worry me."

"I'm sorry for worrying you, but I'm okay...really, I am."

"Okay, but if you need to talk...just call me."

"Yes, yes...thank you."

Ha-jin was not ready to tell her friend about what happened to her when she was in a coma.  The pain of losing someone she loved so much was hard for her to bear.  She cared so deeply for the King and was heartbroken that she didn't have the chance to see him one last time before she died.  Bewildered at remembering all the events that transpired in her dreams and how she actually was there during that time caused her to feel mentally exhausted.  She falls asleep on the couch.

A loud knock on the door wakes Ha-jin up from her long nap.  She goes to the door.   Looking at the screen of her intercom she sees her friend waiting outside her door.  Ha-jin opens the door for her.

"Ha-jin, are you okay?  I was worried about you. I kept calling and texting you but you never picked up."

Ha-jin looks at her friend and sadly nods her head.  She heads back to the couch when her friend grabs her arm and looks at her haggard face.

"What's wrong?  You look like you've been crying."

Ha-jin looks at her friend and tells her it's nothing.  She felt a little bit tired today and just needed some rest.

"Please don't worry about me, I'm fine, " she says.

"Ha-jin?"

"Really, I'm fine...I'm sorry to worry you, but I'm okay.  I just need to rest.  Please, just go home. I'll go in tomorrow."

Her friend is not convinced that she's okay.  She starts to say something but Ha-jin is walking her to the door.

"Thank you for coming. I'll see you tomorrow."

"But..but..Ha-jin?"

Ha-jin smiles, waves at her friend to go and slowly closes the door.  She goes to her computer and starts researching  to see whatever happened to the Wang family.  Ha-jin learned that his marriage to princess Yeon-hwa produced a son.  According to the articles she read online, he was a distant husband to the queen and father towards his son.  This made her feel a bit sad about the cruel life the queen and her son endured while living in the palace.

Throughout his reign, the King kept Ha-jin's memory alive.  His heart always belonged to her and nobody was able to replace the love he lost.  He was very devoted to her for helping him overcome his dark image behind the mask.  Without her, he would not had been able to see the brighter side of life.  When he was with her, he was able to briefly experience true happiness.

Ha-jin goes back to work the next morning.  She puts aside the memories of the king behind her.  The hustle and bustle of city life has helped Ha-jin ease the painful memories of the time she spent during the Goryeo dynasty.  She immersed herself in work to the point of exhaustion.  No matter how hard she tried to erase the memory of Wang So, her heart wouldn't allow it.

The nights were the hardest to get through.  She would have repeated nightmares of a time gone by in which she always woke up crying.  As hard as she tried to mourn the memories of her and the king, it became obvious that no amount of time will ever take those times away from her heart.
